monday starters for 5dpt
Just want to make sure we are still on for Monday. And I have the website to refer to but I guess I like to hear it from others. lol lol Ok so day 1 & 2 I understand is the hardest. We can have protein shakes, lots and lots of water. sf pudding, jello, cream soups and broth. I am correct right? lol lol and the I know the rest. Just know these first 2 days will be the worse and I want to be fully prepared with EVERyTHING i can eat. lol lol Also you have to eat within 15 min right. and drink 30 min before and 30 after right? how often can you eat. I mean if I have a shake and then 30 min later 20 ozs of water can I have another shake in 30 min of that. lol lol Just trying to think ahead if I am hungry. lol lol

The first day was not bad really...I had a chili and bean soup and it was quite satisfying. I'm not one for sweets usually...so I gotta have my saltly hearty food and drinking chocolately drinks and puddings just wouldn't do it for me. I had lentil soup and chili/bean soup and there's a split pea and ham soup...and 16 bean soups....Much lighter than cream soups too!
Just a suggestion...It really helped me...once I realised I didn't have to drink chocolate or vanilla drinks all day....
The first day is the hardest for sure...but You won't be so hungry as you think....You will be pleasantly surprised what a wonderful machine you have...

I am on day 2 of the 5dpt this week. This is the first time I tried it. It's amazing how much better I feel already. I finally stopped torchuring myself with bad carbs!! It's really a lot easier than I thought it would be. There are no limits to how much you eat on those liquid days. I am very much looking forward to tuna salad and talapia tomorrow! I had really lost control of my eating, and I really feel this is going to help immensely. These two days pass by quickly, too.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE..please see my post above "5DPT COMPLETED :)" its really not as hard as you think..if you really want to do this it will be a piece of cake ..umm..ok NO CAKE ALLOWED!! lol you can do whatever you put your mind to!

I'm stil on for Monday. WE CAN DO IT!! I've heard that when you share a burden with a friend it's cut in half, and when you share your joy with a friend it's doubled. So I'm glad to have so many new friends to share this adventure with. When I feel like quitting or get whiny, I'll be on this board telling you all about it! But next week when I'm hopefully a few pounds lighter and back in charge, I'll be here sharing that too!!
I've got my shake stuff, SF pudding, and am going to make some of the soups on the 5DPT website. Now, what about veggies and/or fiber? I guess I can use soy milk with fiber and add flax seeds to my shakes but I struggle with constipation if I don't eat my veggies. Any ideas??
