PROTEIN DRINKS
I didn't use protein for the last three years because I couldn't tolerate whey protein....but I found that I like EAS Whey-Soy Isolate blend from Costco. I use it everyday in my coffee, either the chocolate which is less sweet than the vanilla...but I like both flavors...
I love the flavor of Chocolate Muscle milk powder....and even though it says lactose free....I can only drink half of a shake or it will double me over in pain. Don't know if it's the whey or the artificial sweetner...Otherwise the taste is awesome...Tastes like cake batter to me. I love it ....if it only loved me! LOL
I hate everything else...I can tolerate Isopure Bottles of clear carb free whey, but it's not my fav.
I've been using IDS Belgian Chocolate powder for three years. In November, they changed their formula, and I have been very disappointed in the new taste. I talked to the company, and it was a monetary decision, as the price of whey protein has tripled in the last year.
Word to the wise, read the labels of your protein products with each new shipment/purchase. When I last purchased my powder, none of the websites selling IDS had updated their nutritional info to let me know it had changed. I buy twenty pounds at a time. Yes, twenty pounds. I am really bummed. If you don't check the labels, you might not know it is different. The new IDS contains wheat gluten now, as well as other significant changes. I am not sensitive to wheat, but many people are, so it concerns me that people know about it. It makes me wonder how the other companies that sell protein powders are changing their products too.
However, as I now have another 15 pounds of this new formula to drink, I add lots and lots of dark cocoa powder to it to improve the taste. I always did add some cocoa to it, but I have to add so much more now to make it taste good. I always drink it hot, and add different SF syrups to it to change up the flavor. I have drunk it every single morning for breakfast for three years, and feel it has been crucial to my success. I just wish they would go back to their old formula.

Any of these are what I use:
1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender or Magic Bullet).
2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken.
3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended.
4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz ho****er, stirred or hand blender.
They deliver 30g protein, less than 3g sugar, less than 200 calories, when made with water.
Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon fights belly fat.
I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of vit D3).

P.S. My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
I'm hooked on Designer Whey 100 calorie choc caramel peanut...i make it with 6 oz. of soy milk, 8th continent lite, 4oz. (50 calories per cup) and and 2oz. of either lite vanilla, hood carb countdown chocolate, or soy slender cappuchino flavor, golden ground flaxseed, a piece of banana and sf flavored syrup (tiramusu or vanilla hazelnut) and 7 ice cubes! It's super yummy!
