Congratulations.... I am on day three also.  I did  soups, pudding, popsicles, beverages..and did okay... yesterday though..the hunger pains...and the gas was awful.. Sugar alchols attacked.  Today I did fine...cottage cheese, pudding, etc...  Amazed at the change in amount intakes.  Think Ihave already lost 6 pounds...

Congrats!  I"m glad to k now that it gets better.  I'm through with day one.  I must say it is  not easy.  I would drink and drink and not feel satisfied with whatever I drank.  I went back to the 5dpt site and read about some soup they make for the 1 & 2 day.  It sounded sooo good....had bacon in it and everything.  I probably made today harder than it has to be.  Only did  2protein shakes,2 puddings, 1 yogurt, 1 cup tomato soup  and water.  And 1 Diet Dr. Pepper.  I hope tomorrow will be better.  I'm hungry right now. But I'm going to nail bite my way through this.....  If you have any tips please advise. Dancin'D

hun i had 4 protein shakes on day 1 and 2 ..and you need much more water than that! ..sodas are a diuretic plus caffeine is an appetite stimulant  and cant believe you can drink them ..i havent been able to since surgery, hurts my tummy ..so my advice..double up on your shakes, drink much more water (i had 80 oz of water in addition to everything else) you do not have to be hungry!!  congrats on making it through day 1 but yes you made it much harder than it had to be..hang in there  -hugs-

Good going!  I can't wait to do this next week....I'm so envious!  Wish I could start sooner...but I have a house full of people to entertain and feed...  A lot of people lose a little water weight and it comes back after you add fruits and veggies back...but you can continue to lose if you keep your calories down and practice what you "re-learned" by getting back on track.  The main reason to do the 5 DPT is to get rid of the bad habits you may have started and especially the carb monster...So that's the real benefit along with feeling your pouch again and gaining confidence in your pouch and your self.  So if you gain that lost weight back....please don't get discouraged...I did...but I was so happy to have control again and felt so much better and I did eventually lose all of my 10 lbs of winter gain...But it was a slow process....The test was a huge stepping stone though...and I wish you continued success! LOL That McD's sweet tea is a good riddance!  I'm so hapy for you!  I can't believe how many calories was in that drink!  Sheesh! Who knew???? Hugs
