Trying to get back on track?

I just read this on the 5day pouch test website, and it really hit me, so I thought I'd share it with all of you who are also trying to "get back on track". Good luck to us all! NEVER give up! "There are two things I know about human nature. First, nobody ever wakes up and declares, "Today is the day I will relax my enthusiasm and get off track." Second, nobody ever wakes up and gets back on track without first saying, "Today is the day I get back on track and I have a plan." Falling off track happens without a plan or script. Getting back on track requires a conscious decision, a carefully designed plan and the determination to make it happen."

You said a mouthful.  I've had my head in the clouds for about 2 years and denying the gain every step of the way. Penny

It's so easy to get off track, and to stay more or less off track for a LONG time. Then I think one day we wake up, see where we are, and where we want to be. We realize we have the power to change our lives and experience what we want and deserve, but it takes a reality check and an honest look at what got us to where we are at to finally take that big step back to being on track. I think the important thing is to forgive ourselves, and then like that quote says, make a plan, and acknowledge TODAY as the day to get back on track. And like the 12 steps say...one day at a time. Good luck to you Penny! Leslee

DENIAL..!!   I know it personally. I denied my way into a 40lb weight gain!  Until I saw Carlie Wilson on tv a few days ago admitting the same problem -- weight gain after weight loss surgery--  I thought I was the only one.

I'm nearly 4 years out and have had plastics on my stomach, but through it all I've put back on the weight from the plastics...It's very frustrating....I really hate the fact that I went through the extreme pain of the plastics to let my butt and thighs get flabby again....I'm reintroducing proteins and cutting out carbs...I've lost two pounds this week, but I have 10 to go.  It is really easy to get sloppy and a bit lazy about the whole thing isn't it???  Darn it!!!
