Hello, I got to admit that I am a bit obsessed with taking my vitamins and minerals.  During the first few weeks that I was recovering from my panni I really didn't feel like taking them and my blood work showed it as well as I am having hair loss.  I didn't have any hair loss or problems after my RNY. I found a book that is very simple reading and really tells you the do's and don'ts of v & M.  It is called The complete Idiot's Guide to Vitamins a & Minerals.  It tells you all about Calcium and why we and all people should take Calcium Citrate.  It tells you about the B family, 12, 6 biotin. and it speaks in terms that are understandable to the regular person.   I paid $10.69 for it at Half.com but it was worth every penny. If anyone else has read the book please let me know what you think. Jeanne

I just got the book yesterday, but I did go to the calcium part and it does mention how WLS patients should take the Citrate.  The whole calcium chapter was interesting.  I am going to be eager to see if they mention WLS anywhere else.  Jeanne
