I need to know what tricks are out there to start skin issues in order to potentially have a tummy tuck covered by my insurance. I have lost more than 100 pounds, I have extreme lower back pain from all the excess skin. The only thing I don't have is the skin rash.... someone please help me out!!!

I believe someone said you can put something like nair in the area and it will cause a ra****'s something common, maybe not nair..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I was told that there were ways to cause skin problems, I just don't know what they are. I will try anything.!!!!!!! I look good with clothes on, not so great naked. But I met a man who loves me for who I am not what I look like. I just want to feel better about myself.

Tracey, you might not need to prove a rash problem. If your abdomen skin hangs below your pubic area that alone might be enough, also documentation of your back pain through you PCP and treatment/medication for it.

I am having PS in July and my insurance company is covering a panniculectomy because of overhang and having lost 115lbs. Have you spoke with them yet.

Good luck

This is  a pet peeve of mine... You are asking us to give you ideas to help you commit insurance fraud.  If you want a tummy tuck then find a way to do it without defrauding your insurance company and especially coming on OH to ask us to help you. I have preached about this for years.  There are insurance companies who have people read these messages boards and they find out who is doing what.  Not to mention it just isn't right. It is hard enough for a lot of people to get WLS and when more people commit fraud it makes it even harder. Fraud is wrong and don't ask us for help in doing it.

****No Flame Zone**** =  Hi, Tracey...Normally, I would PM rather than post, as I know that you are truly asking for help, but may not have considered a lot of points prior to posting.  It is not my intension to make you feel bad, as you already seem to feel very upset by the current state of your body.  Since so many OH members have viewed your request, I am responding here. So I am hoping that others will also consider the following: There are no short cuts here... you can save, qualify, or appeal, but don't injure yourself or place false claims. A note on Nair:  Several years ago, I accidentally got a small amount inside the fold of skin near my mid-groin area.  I could not get it to heal.  Finally, I went to my PCP for help.   He told me that the area was severely chemical damaged and would heal by using the Rx Silver Sulfadiazine.  It took months for this 1" area to heal to a fragile stage, which meant that if I rubbed it... the area would need further medication.  Years later I can still feel the difference in the skin quality. That said... it was such a small area... Could you imagine a larger area needing to heal? Could you imagine having to put-off PS for many months or a year for the level of healing that I mentioned?  If the PS has to overlay "moved" skin on top of damaged skin, what would the complications be?  Anyway... I'd imagine any qualified PS could recognizing a chemical burn?  With the state of Malpractice, I would think that most PS would avoid your business.  If you would place a false claim to get a surgery, perhaps you might decide to sue the PS later also.   My current loss is 142 LB since WLS and about 200 LB since my highest weight..  Skin issues are very discouraging, but they should not cause you to injure yourself. I would suggest going to your Gyn and PCP about your extreme lower back pain.  It would be a good idea to do this not only for the PS documentation, but to rule out certain cancers.  I believe that one sign of ovarian cancer is extreme back pain.  You'd hate to miss early detection.  Your pain may be caused by a previous injury.  You seem to believe that it has been worsened by the weight of the skin.  Incidentally, from what I've read here lately... skin does not weigh that much... so I'd think that you'd have less pain. Hope that this helps! Ro
