I had one serving Isopure, 40 grms protein 160 cal. IOneEAS protein drink, 100 cal 17 grams protein. And THEN 3/4 a hamburger from sonic, and 2/3 a small tator tots with ranch..healthy? Oh yeah! Then had a bad night and ate nothing else.. drank a little (vodka..yeah..reall bad night, I have my issues still, but under progress!).. not good...but who is really expecting perfection?! Will try again tomorrow! At least didn't go over calorie limit.
Oh yeah, I've had days like that...Get home, self medicate with alittle alcohol and go directly to bed...Sometimes that's all that can be done with some days. i was close today but don't have the energy to head for the kitchen to hunt up that bottle of tequilla...
Hope you feel better tomorrow..See ya!

Ok. For those curious, here's what my nut. (whom I like) said:
100g carbs average per day.
Carb cycling makes sense to her, as long as it's not extreme.. but "why make things more complicated if what you're doing works?". That's in conjunction with workout routines.. days you workout harder you have more carbs, etc.
1000-1200 calories per day
Fruits and veggies *only* if there's room after protein and other carbs
Fiber is good. Soluble fiber is better. "FiberSure" adds 5g soluble fiber to any food or drink.. suggested 2 doses per day.
She was surprised that no local surgeons would see me because they didn't do my surgery. She's going to call the group she works with and try to get me in just for a checkup. (She said it's probably because most people who come in after being "out of the program" so long are "train wrecks".. but I was doing everything right and would tell them so.)
She didn't have an answer on my Vit. D question, and is waiting to hear what my surgeon (whom I faxed the results to) has to say about it. I gave her another question (my vit. d is formulated with calcium carbonate, which we, of course, can't absorb.. so is my D malabsorbing too?) and she didn't have the answer to that, either.. but would check on it. My pharmacist says no.
Other than that, she didn't have much for me. Said that I was doing very well after not seeing someone in so long. Was surprised I've been managing everything on my own since we moved here. And spent alot of the 90 minutes just chatting. I did turn her onto Greek yogurt (I should get a toaster for all those I've converted to the flock ;-)
Anyways, onto food.
South Beach granola bar (middle of night feeding.. guess I just really need the extra food!)
1c coffee w/ ff moo
protein shake
Individual Fage cup
grilled chicken and cheese flatbread
1c oikos
twisted protein bar
1tsp fibersure in my iced tea
936 cals 24.11g fat 85.92g carbs 107.83g protein 19g fiber
I was nice to myself yesterday and only did 30 min on the elliptical (my legs were a bit achy from the jogging). It was hard-core elliptical.. but it was no-impact.
20 min upper body weight machines
And yes, these threads help me. I post this on another board I frequent as well. I even put all of it my blog and print it out.. makes going to a doc so much easier when I have my food journals with me. The nut. was shocked I brought her all my info :-) I'm anal like that.
Well, with calories like you had here, you should be dropping pretty good. If I was at 1000 calories a day, I'd be in big trouble. Actually, I get so sick and tired of eating so much and so often I wonder why I should even try. Maybe 100 pounds is my new goal weight and after that, a good stiff wind will just toss me into the next county and end my troubles. Don't mind me...I'm having one of those mornings.
You're doing wonderful. Great protein number. Carbs are great...Everything looks wonderful.

Rough day....the grazing monster got hold of me.
B: 3 scrambled eggs
L: 2 low carb tortillas with 3 cheese sticks
S: 1/2 crunch bar and south beach high protein cereal bar
D: 2 low carb tortillas with 1 cheese stick and 1 c. bbq chicken
S: 2 rice cakes with pb
S: south beach 100 cal bar and 50 cal beef jerkey

I did a bit better with my water but still a ways to go. I am going to keep workiing on that today and also try to kick that grazing monster to the ground. Wish me luck!

Well, scheduled meals aren't all they're cracked up to be sometimes. Sometimes grazing is just called for.
I would say your carbs are high with this list but the snacking is the culprit there. Ohwell. Have a great weekend. I'm gonna try.
See ya.

Hi Well I think I did alright. I've been so worried about gaining and eating too much that I started writing everything down so when I see my surgeon on my I year I can get an idea if I'm doing alright.
so here we go.
AM 2 cups coffee with creamer
1/2 serving of a protien shake (1/2 cup ffmilk) protien mix 9 gms and 2 large strawberries
2 oz chicken about 1/8 cup pasta( measured to about 1/2 a cup)
1 hard boiled egg
2 oz lean pork, squash maybe 3 bites 2 bites mac n cheese (made lower fat)
3wheat thins and about 1-2 oz cheese
I finished off about 30 oz of water
Now here is my concerns I do get hungry in the evening. so I sit with my family and pick at my plate and then around 6:30 or 7 I'll go ahead and finish things off. I still follow the chew chew chew and I wait about 5 min between bites. and I do measure everything. I only eat about 1/2 a cup at a time. Sometimes more but then the tummy hurts. So I get tired of eating really fast. Yea I said it I just get tired and figure it's not worth it. I've got other things to do. If I snack at night I really try very hard to do SF pudding or the cracker and protien. I feel really good and I haven't gained Haven't really lost lately either Which is fine. I do like where I'm at. I just don't want to go back.
Your insite and opions would be great
