Ok, I'm 9 weeks out from a revision that intailed them taking my old stomach out and repairing my pouch due to an intestanal fistula. I can eat normal food now (within reason) and everything makes me dump. I think I might be eating to fast or to much but since I don't know what size my pouch is its hard to tell.  I don't get the full feeling until I have eaten probably what is considered to much and that is after about 20 min.  Does anyone have a sure fire way to slow my butt down and follow the rules? Along with this mess I have been super depressed so all I want to do it eat. I'm sure its head hunger and I need to disaccosiate myself from that but I feel I don't know how.  HELP PLEASE!!!

I suggest that you measure your portions, and only eat a small amount and slow down when you eat, be sure to chew well. Check out the amounts of sugar and fat content of what you are eating too, they may be too high and cause you to dump.

I remember being able to eat about 2 oz or so at 9 weeks post op.

Exactly what are you symptoms when you "dump"? Are you sure that is what is happening?

Don't give up on yourself and seek out help if you need it.

Can you describ in exact detail what is happening to you 20 minutes after you eat?

sit at table to eat ,  use a dime to remind you of  what size each bite should be !  chew chew chew 20x's  use baby fork or spoon and  put down between bites --- no water or drinks on table, stop eating when 20 min has gone by

You can also do cottage cheese test !!  eat as much cottage cheese in  20 min  and then  measure what remains ..  this will tell you how large or small your pouch is ...

You can also use apple sauce  for this

Need to know what you are eating.  Chicken make you dump?  Turkey?  Eggs?  These are high protein foods and should not be making you sick.  These are also things you need to be eating.  Are you consuming protein drinks?  You need to be.  Also, if they are making you dump, perhaps too high of sugars. I bet you are eating too high of sugar content and too high of carbs, and/or greasy foods.  These will do it!
