bad bones
Hi,
I had an RNY in 2003...so I am 5 years out. I too have bad bones as you say. I started taking actonal which I had a bit of a problem with gives me cramps....but my sister whis is also a RNYer 6 yr out..she has no problem at all. I think you need to be on something. I havent taken mine regularly..so I am still having bone loss...I did add the last few months dry vit. D 50,000...its 1 pill i get from bariatriceating.com I also take their chewable calcium ( I like the cinnimmon ) I take 2000 a day and a multi vitimin. I think Bariatric vitimins are the best as they do absorb for those of us who arn't absorbing like we use to.
I would talk to my Dr. and get on some bone building meds also. They do help buld the bones..as well as walking and weight bearing exercises.
Blessings and I hope this helped some anyway : )
