Family (Spouse, Kids, Grandkids) Married to Keith (10 yrs in Sept); Twins Katie & Connor - 7.5 yo What you do all day (job, hobbies, etc.) Computer programmer.  Was an at-home mom for 7 years until this past Dec Advice & Things You Did Right or Wrong Right:  EXERCISE!!!!  Before going back to work, I exercised 1 to 2 or more hours a day.  Now.... Wrong: Letting the exercise get away from me.  I've started biking to work (6.5 miles each way) when the weather permits and I'm trying to get back with a personal trainer twice a week.

WOW Wanda

This was a great idea....I have read every post and it is amazing what everyone has going on in their own lives.....The one thing I find ironic is that we have ALL said the same thing about our wrongs and testing the water with the sugar demon!  Thought I was the only one, glad to see their are others like me going through the same thing I am and trying to get off the stuff!  Thanks....This thread is a REAL HELP!

What you do all day (job, hobbies, etc.): Software Licensing/Auditor Analyst


Advice & Things You Did Right or Wrong: I am a total safety girl. I tend to follow the rules of my surgery. However-I really BITE at being a worrier! I continue to work on letting go of things I can't control every day.

Have tested my alcohol limits more than i should have. Right, portion control and by trying to choose the lesser of all evils, take my vitamins and go for regular check-ups. Right: This surgery was the best decision i ever made for myself

Family (Spouse, Kids, Grandkids) I am married to a great man named DJ for the last 8 years. We have 3 kids, Hannah-9, Abby-6 and Gabe-22 months.
What you do all day (job, hobbies, etc.) I am a fulltime wife and mom, and work PRN at a Nursing Home.
Advice & Things You Did Right or Wrong Advice? Be kind to yourself.  Allow yourself to be human. Stick to your guns and BELIEVE that you can accomplish what you set out to do. Listen to what your surgeon/NUT tells you. Never, ever give up.  What did I do right? I tried to follow this advice. What did I do wrong? I am far too judgemental of myself at times.... I need to work on focusing on accomplishments and how far I've come rather than how far I have to go.

Hi Wanda!!! Type & Date of Surgery: Lap RNY, 12/4/06 Big Weight/Little Weight/Current Weight: 328/131.6/140-147 (I am working hard at getting it back off now) Family: Just husband, myself and our minature doxie dog What do you do all day: I work weekends as an RN overnights and then part time job in a floral shop. Otherwise I exercise at the gym twice a week and run outside on days I don't go to the gym.  Clean, cook, the normal stuff.  Advice: Don't test the waters.  I know that we are human and its our instinct to.  I did this at 1 year out and have been battling emotional eating ever since.  Food is not our friends.. as much as we like to think it is.. its only fuel and should be treated as such.  I know this and used to abide by this up till one year out.. gonna get back there.. b/c it stinks gaining and losing the same 10 lbs over and over.
