Wasn't sure if I should be on this board or the RNY board at 14 months - but I'm grateful to have the opportunity for opinions and advice from people who know what a wild ride it's been the last year or so.
I'm loving life and the energy and chaos that so many changes have brought. Some days, I miss the chocolate devouring couch potato days, but I don't think I would ever be content for a sedentary lifestyle again.
Just saying hello to everyone!

I believe they figure you're a graduate if you're one year or more out...Welcome!
I don't think I miss those days. I can't even sit at the computer for more than an hour and that's saying something for me...I have a desk job and have to get up and walk around if for no other reason than to "walk a lap." If they find out, they may have to chain me to my desk...LOL.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Good for you! I forget how far I've come and my first feelings after losing it all...You just reminded me how bad my quality of life was before WLS. I tend to take it for granted after a while...Then I read about energy and I think...wow 4 1/2 years ago...I could barely walk with a cane...Now I chase my dog and I run and jump and swim...Yeah....ENERGY! Isn't it just the most awesome feeling? You just gave me a little flash back and reminder to keep on working it out and making each day a healthy one. (I'm bad though...I sneak chocolate in protein bars! Occasionally... LOL) Shameful! Hugs! Congrats and welcome!
