Okay! Weekly WEIGH IN!
I want to get where you are...But I'm just not there yet. I'm still really really afraid that that montra will come true "You'll just gain it all back..." so for now I watch and weigh...each week and daily...
Most days I weigh first thing in the morning and then just before I go to bed...Just to see how much I lose during the night...Usually from 1.8 to 3.8 pounds a night...Not bad for doing absolutely nothing...
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

used to be if I sat that close to a cake that looked that great (your avitar) I'd gain 5 pounds just because...Go ahead and take a peek and whisper it to me...I won't tell anyone..LOL
Just have a great weekend! See ya.

I did jump on the scale this morning. I'm somehting like 133, and I was hanging around 127 or 128. I have been lifting a lot of weights, and I'm hoping that's at least part of the cause. My waist measurement is actually 1/2" smaller. It sucks though. I'm reading Dr. Oz's book, the Owner's Manual, and I love it. He says not to look at the scale, go by your waist measurement, and a woman's should be less than 32". Mine is 25", but my waist has never been my problem. My problem lies south of that. Anyway, I've been doing the strength training routine in the back of the book (which I also love), but the scale is going the wrong way.
Okay, so I get not looking at the scale because that's just a number and you can weigh more because of muscle tone but the he goes and spoils it by talking about measurements...Size can stay exactly the same and the scale number can climb definately when you add muscle to your frame.. I need to tone my mid section and maybe make my waist smaller too...I'm about a 26 now...Should be a bit smaller but I'm okay if I don't get smaller.
I think definately it's muscle...

I forgot to write my weight from last week...But I 'm up two pounds from my regular 165 ish...So this week 167.... I've been working out too! Woo hoo for me! Forgot the last time I wiped serious sweat from my brow! LOL So I'm not too worried...yet...Definitely need to work on my recent carb binges.
Just keeping it real...I'll get my schtuff together...
Good luck everyone and have a great weekend...
Serious sweat around here happens even without any activity in July and August...
I think with working out carbs are essential...They are suppose to provide quick fuel for working muscles so it's not always a bad thing. the trick is taking in good carbs. I try really hard to stay away from anything white carb related...bread, pasta, rice, even potato but that's really a good carb in white carb disguise. But as soon as I type something like that I'll have no choices tomorrow at the party but cold pasta salads. Sigh...I'll eat my words right along with the pasta salad..
Keep up the good work. A toned body uses calories more effectively than a non-toned body..

I know what you mean...I coulda lived on potatoes the rest of my life! Love them. Bread too...that's been trouble for me in the past. Then with the kid home...and bringing junk food back in the house...that's been hard. I had Doritos for the first time in....Well, I don't even remember when. Gave me quite a belly ache too. So I was a little happy about that. I don't usually like that sorta fake- spice-"who knows what they do to make it taste good"-kinda-food! LOL
Sometimes the curiousity kills my very strong will to eat right. I'm definitely a "tester" and sometimes push the limits...even my own limits. But only for a moment...so I don't feel out of control or anything...hard to explain. I know when I am out of control...and this is just a phase at the moment. Carbs are good for workouts for sure! But me...I admit, I've been playing with the naughty ones!
I'm the kinda person that has urges that I just have to do...But I do it controlled. Kinda like having a deck of cards...and keeping them all in order...well, me..I gotta give those cards a flip into the air, knowing that I am going to pick them all back up and put them back in order. That's me. Always was that way. It doesn't worry me...but I feel like a rebellious child sometimes! LOL Potatoe salad sounds yummy! LOL
Hugs...and say hi to Carla if she pops in thsi weekend! See ya soon
