Hi!!  Thank you so much for supporting me.  I too have been through some life changing events over the last two years.  I've admitted to my Dr preop that I eat for EVERY occaision.  I used to think it was neat how I could only eat tbsp's of food at a time~~but now it's like I'm dealing with this self-defeating demon inside of me that won't let me succeed.  I do know however when I've been drinking water or even my beloved coffee that I feel fuller when I eat solid food. I'm seriously thinking about some of what people have tried on the message board like the 5dpt.  I really just want to watch my portions right now however.  My first goal is to take off 5lbs weight-wise but really I want to get a handle on my eating. I don't want to be a poor example for the message board but it is a reality.  I want to show myself and everyone here that I can get a handle on my weight loss again and feel good about it. thank you again for the support!!!!!!!!! Penny, Eating carbs are just self defeating (but I know they taste good!).  Instead, try to eat your protein first.  If you have to have some carbs, then get your protein by combining brown rice and black beans (watch out for the gas). If you can eat the protein first, you will feel fuller for longer.  You could even try refried beans. For a treat you could have some SF FF frozen fruit pops-

You might want to cut back on your beloved coffee or water, especially if you are drinking during your meals.  If you are drinking alot at one time, that can stretch your stomach out and make you feel like you could eat anything! We have faith you in!  Just take it 1 meal at a time - -

Tell me about the carb demons.  They keep catching me.  I keep fighting back though.   Some times they win.  Lately I've been winning.  Water is a major thing for me.  I find myself answering with food whenever my body calls for water.  And carbs just call for more carbs.  When I'm good and eat protein and drink my water, my appetite goes way down.  It's almost like magic.
If I'm out of my mind-- feel free to leave a message.
