7:00 am- cup of coffee with Choc mint cocoa in it. 70 cal 6 carbs 12 gr protein 8:30 am flavored water during a meeting. 0 cal 0 anything 11;30 am- Chicken bouillion. 60 cal 3 carbs 12 gr protein 1:00 pm- Anytime Vanilla shake 100 cal 7 carbs 15 gr protein 3;30 pm- yogurt. 60 cal 7 carbs 8 pro 5;00- small diet coke 6:30- pudding 70 cal 8 carbs 8 protein 7:30- 2 SF jello's with a spoon ful of cool whip on it. 120 cal 0 carbs 0 protein 10:00-Chicken bouillion. 60 cal 3 carbs 12 gr protein 11;30- pudding 70 cal 8 carbs 8 protein 12:25- wild berry splash drink 70 calories 2 carbs 125 potassium 15 grams protein grand total for the day is...580 calories...yikes!! I'm on day two of the 5 day pouch test. I guess I'm not doing well on, I don't recall it saying that there was an amount of calories that must be consumed per day etc.. if anyone knows please let me know.. thanks

I didn't see you were on the pouch test till the end, and I was thinking how you could eat so little!! What was your protein intake? Keep that number up!!

Had a fun experience yesterday.  Got my nerve block like normal.  Didn't hurt nearly as bad (which hey, is saying quite a bit.. I wasn't in tears this time 'round).  Anyway, stayed in the room for 10 minutes afterwards to feed Daniel, no problem.  Go out front to the receptionist, bantering with her about my mental health, and litterally from one word to another I came *this* close to blacking out.  It was like "I don't think hey I think I need to sit down".  Sugar was fine (97.. I had a protein drink immediately prior to the shots because they can make me nauseous), but I was very clammy all of a sudden and very weak.  They didn't test my BP at that point, but I'd guess that's the culprit.  It was 121/70 going into the appt.  5 minutes later, I was fine.. but very drowsy for the rest of the day.  It was like I had taken some meds and they gave me the "sleepies"..  Very strange.  Never happened before, and really, hope it doesn't again. Got lab results back.. I'm good on everything but my Vit. D.  Of course, I only started to take it, so that's not really surprising.  I had thought my calcium had some in it, but apparantly not.  I'll ask that level be rechecked in 6 months just to be certain all is ok. Slimfast protein bar 1c fage protein shake 1c coffee w/ ff moo salmon fillet 3/4c fage (kiddo stole part of my cup!) 1.5 links organic chicken and garlic sausage 1103 cals  33.11g fat  53.17g carbs  145.83g protein  2g fiber 30 minutes hard core elliptical, 20 minutes lower body weight machines

wow, what a day you had! Thank God you are ok, and the black out happened at the office and not in the car or stairway!!!! I am glad too the shot was better for you...pain, living with it is without description isn't it? you're smokin on the protein girl! nice job on the fats too!

I just found you and am soooo happy!!!   1 week ago I decided to Hit it Hard.  So I went back to basics and lost 2 1/2 lbs. the first week.  After reading this thread, I realize I'm not getting in enough proteins!!  And water????  OOOPs..... 16 oz. all day long! I usually don't eat like this but anyway here it is: 2 c. salad  26,5.4 1.4, 1/4 c. sour cream 123.2, 2.5,1.8 (I won't do that anymore) 1/4 c. ground meat 82.9, 0, 7\.5, 1 T diet dressing 40,3.5,.5 (all this was ingredients in a small taco salad I made.

1 1/2 weiner 195,1.5,7.5, 3/4 pkg. cheese 60,0,3.8, 1/2 c. pinto beans 145,17.2,6, 1/4 c. potatoe salad (oops) 38.6, 7.2, 1 ,  yogurt w/ berries 117.5,23,5,  4 saltines 48,8.8,.8, Atkins protein drink 160,6,15

Welcome!!!!! Yepper....you need to up that protein. And remember, although we should consume protein, our bodies cannot absorb all we eat, (remember we have a malabsorption surgery?). So, you must supplement with digestable and absorbable whey protein drinks. Keep those no less than 60, than eat another 30-40. Sound good? And of course, never skimp on vitamins!! Kudos on the 2.5 lbs!!! woo-hoo!!
