Aren't they cool at that age? Off and running soon enough!  Breakfast: oatmeal, TVP, soy milk, coffee (2 cups) Snack: 1 oz cheese stick, 1 slice lunch meat (ham) medium grapefruit (peeled and eaten that way...LOVE that!)  Lunch: 1.25 cup homemade meat loaf from beef and veggies, tomatoe based Snack: 1 medium peach, 1 SoBe Cereal Bar (10 gr protein) and 2 oz of beef jerky Dinner: 1 cup of beef stew, potato and carrots, tomato based sauce Dessert: 1 cup of Kettle corn microwave popcorn Totals for the day: Calories: 1837 Fat; 63 Carbs: 175 Protein: 149 Seems I can't get that protein up without bringing the carbs with it but then, popcorn has no protein at all...I just want it.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

remember that what we eat, we can't possibly absorb.( mal absorption surgery RNY) That is why you need the protein drink supplements...this will up your protein and not add carbs. Think about it. Grapefruit.....not my favorite, I'm more of a mandarin orange girl, but glad its yummy to you!! Beef jerky is good too....took me a long time before I could eat it though! good job today!

yes indeedty....better day! I know I am a broken record when it comes to drinking whey protein, but I gotta tell you , when I don't get it in....I do get more hungry all day even if I eat dense protein. Perhaps you want to try that and see if it helps you. Huum, with the carbs...maybe try the brown rice and whole wheat bread? Denser, more fiber? For me, i try to stay from the white stuff. Rice and my pouchie are not friends!!! Its a good thing too! You can do this, and I am proud of you for keeping tract of what you ate! woo-hoo! I just came back from walking a 1.5 miles with my neighbor. At least I got moving!

i ususally do buy whole wheat bread. i was using hubby white bread since i have been slacking off buying wheat bread. i will try brown rice. i have ate it in the past. i dont eat alot of rice but i love pasta.. carbs... grr... nothing bothers my pouch. i wi**** did. no i am not sure if you told me before you was from buffalo. neat... anita

you know there is ww pasta out there too, fills you up faster and has fiber etc. Don't give up, you're doing a great job!

Tami, once again I'm way off track, going to start the 5dpt on Monday.  Need to go shopping and get my mind mentally back in the game.  I hate that when life gets busy I don't take care of me.   Work has been super busy, way to much to do that I don't feel like I'm finishing anything.  Both of the boys are playing baseball to so we are not home in the evenings and I'm not planning.

You have always been good about keeping on the boat Dana, so you need to search inside and find out the WHY of sabataging (sp?) yourself? Also...are you part of a local support group or are we your only accountability? What are you doing for protein...and are you keeping good stuff so when you are starving you don't go for the bad? I am not sure the pouch test will get you where you want to be unless you get to the heart of the matter. Remember....you are valuable and unique....you have overcome something magnificent and you can pull yourself back out. Search inside and let us help hold you up as you continue on to victory! hugs to you!!
