Hi all! I just got back from my post surgical 18 month check up. I am doing really well. My protein can be upped a bit-so I will set to work on it-it's just slightly low. All other things checked out great. I have lost just over 200 lbs. I was told I can have plastics now-if I choose to. Pfft-YES I choose to-but my wallet says "Um-not today!" LOL! The surgeon was very happy with my progress and said if I do not lose another lb I am a great success-but said if I wanted to go for 15-20 more he wouldn't stop me. :) I was bypassed 120 CM Proximal. I was wondering what you might know about that. Is there an average-and how does it work out. For example-I was SMO, do surgeons tend to bypass more or less regarding this higher weight? Where does my fall as far as "averages" go. Is more less..or is less more as far as bypass goes? I would appreciate any knowledge you would like to share! Many thanks! Peace, Therese

My doctor bypasses 150cm but I wish I was bypassed more than that.  I think 150cm is what most doctors do.

Same here. My doctor doesn't do distal bypasses because he's seen so many have to get reversal surgeries because of the malabsorption. I wish he'd fixed me where I malabsorb chocolate.
