Plastic Surgery

Hey gang,  I know I should probably post this question on the plastics forum but I dont seem to get much of a response whenever I ask a question there, guess im not in the click, lol anyway  I am just about ready to go have a leg debullking, That is what my doc calls it when they go in and do major lipo to your legs & thighs in preparation for a Lower Body lifet to come months later.  at my biggest weight I was 360 and wore a tight size 32 jeans...today I am 191 and wear a tight 12. All of the weight I have on my is on my legs...my rib, keck, chest, back & hip bones stick aout so much I almost looka anorexic. I basically have no stomach issues either, no hang at all just some ruffles ;-). when I sit on a stool the sides of my legs & hips fall towards the ground and I look very skinny....but when I stand they give me huge saddle bags.  I have been told by several doctors & plastic surgeons at all I have left in there is a type of fat (thya gave it a name) that wont get smaller  no matter how much more weight I lose...so thay have all recommended this debulking.   Now for my question.....any here have or know of anyone who has had my isses so I can discuss them. I am worried for one that this debulking wont be worth the money, because its cash ofcourse and then I am more worried about lymphatic damage. I evidently was very very lucky to have never damaged my lym[phatic system even though I carried all my weight in my legs....I even here that it is rare.   I know there are always risks but I would like to get a real sense of how great a risk.   I do trust my plastic surgeon 1000 %  but I am not sure he has had anyother patient who needs as much done as I do.   any answers would be greatly appreciated,,, Thanks Diana RNY 9/17/03 360/191/5/forever aiming at 180

I had never heard of that before a LBL. I've got exactly the same issues though - all that stuff hanging from my legs and butt. I keep standing in front of the mirror and pulling it up to see how my legs would look if I had a LBL, and then when I drop it back down and it looks awful. I can't wait to see how wonderful you look after yours.

Don't have an answer either...but I'm with ya on the leg issue.  That's where I have my weight and while they look better than they did a year ago...I still hate my legs. I hope you find answers...I have not considered any plastics myself...Scares the holy heck outta me...But if I did, I'd probably do my legs (and neck)   I spent my entire life hiding my legs as best I could...So it's nothing new to just continue that...but it's always been my wish to have decent looking legs and I just never ever did. So I wish you the best and like Wanda...I can't wait to see / hear how you do with it...

How are your inner thighs?  Are you going to have an inner thigh lift later too?  It is a good protocol to have lipo before thigh work, but I do know that a lower body lift does not address the inner thighs.  Make sure your PS is clear on how he is going to address that part.  Good luck, Loris
