Anyone have any suggestions on what to take for bloating.  The last week or so no matter what i eat i seem to become uncomfortably bloated and it makes it tough to breath.  I was thinking about the Gas-x things, but to the work? or any others anyone can suggest?

Gas-X usually doesn't do a darn thing. lol  Go buy Activated Charcoal, you will have more relief. take one in the morning and then take one at night. Also just to name a few foods that will cause bloating  - usually nuts , grains, wheat , dairy and soy ...can make you bloaty. Eat more organic foods and gluten-free foods.  Look in google.com for organic - gluten free foods.  Then go buy them and eat them instead of regular foods that you been eating. This will stop the bloating and you will be more comfortable. hugss Lizzy

Lizzy--thanks for your post--I have been totally craving nuts for some odd reason and my abdomen is bloating like crazy--and I had no idea what was causing it!  Is it the salt?  I also have had trouble with constipation and eating nuts seems to "get things moving" but the bloating is very uncomfortable.  I don't order foods over the internet, but I would like a list of foods which I could buy at the local store which would keep my from retaining all this water. Thanks so much.

Hi Oreosmom,  ( cute name ) my sister is also a oreosmom because her dog is named Oreo. She takes Oreo everywhere with her when she goes out. Especially when she goes to the horse barns. So people call her Oreo's Mom. lol :-)  Anyways .... No it isn't the salt. its the nuts that causing the bloating. Although , you can still have your nuts. But just limit it to only 2 portions a day! that will be Only 12 nuts per portion per day. and you can *keep things moving*   Don't go crazy with nuts. I did and i can't really have a lot of nuts anymore. I think i build up some kind of allergie to them now. I can only eat almonds. For now anyways...... maybe later on i can go back eating them , but it is hard because nuts are so addictive and YES they DO keep you *moving*  - Which is great , but we can't abuse our foods. Once I abuse a food.... I no longer can eat it anymore. NOT for a long time. I am Strict with myself and I have control over my eating habits. the food no longer controls me. Once you are able to get ahold over your addictions, it will become easier for you. So if NUTS are the problem , you should cut yourself off or , cut back a lot on eating nuts. you can gain weight from eating too much nuts.  apple, almonds, oatmeal, high fiber breads - will keep you moving as well. look and read the food labels eat more high fiber foods. If you are really concern about the bloating... Another is to avoid products containing any ingredients from the seven food crops that have been genetically engineered: soy, corn, cottonseed, canola, Hawaiian papaya and a little bit of zucchini and crook neck squash. This means avoiding ... soy lecithin - in chocolate, candy, gum, protein powders, corn syrup in candies, Soy and cottonseed or canola oil in snack foods. Read your labels and watch what you eat. Use and buy only - non-GMO protein powders. You will not have anymore bloating or gas. Brown Rice protein powders, Pea protein powders.  Look in google.com for more non-GMO protein powders. OR you can email me and I will send you some great LINKS of non-GMO protein powders. If you are interested. Stay away from ANY ingrendients that have those crops in it. Organic foods are not allowed to contain GM ingredients. Buying products that are certified organic or that say non-GMO are two ways to limit your family’s risk from GM foods and being bloaty and gassy!!! The foods and drinks that help you from retaining water - -drink fresh lemon juice -eat more fiber - fresh fruits, fresh vegies , whole grain foods, chicken ,fish, -(protein) -vitamin C helps with water retention - eat more fruits and take vitamin C -Exercise regularly to sweat the water retention out of your body! -drink plently of water throughout the day! - limit caffiene regular coffee. Drink Herbal coffee.  I drink This herbal coffee - HERE. Its to die for. and I have no side effects from quiting regular coffee. once you get rid of caffiene from your diet. the easier it is to have less retention in your body. If you do not drink water after you are done with your coffee, The caffiene will pull water from your body and hold on to it. this retention is temporary. So don't worry about it.

also when you are dehyrated, your body is starving for water. which then your body will pull every little speck of water in your body everywhere from head to your toes and try to retain and HOLD onto the water until you release it with BY DRINKING WATER!

Water helps with weight loss. Keep hydrated throughout the day. This will allow the fluid move freely throughout the body. You need to release the water through , exercising regularly ( sweating ) and drinking more water , so that your body will not retain and hold onto the water. good luck to you :-) hugss Lizzy

It seems to me like the higher the temperature goes the more I bloat!  Make sure you're drinking enough water as well! Michele
