I have a couple of quesions -  1. Does anyone have experience with Coventry of Delaware in Maryland? I found a few posts but none with cir****tances that match mine - either a different plan or coverage. Do they always require six months supervised weight loss? 2. If your insurance denies you, can you get new isurance on your own or will the obesity be an excluded pre-existing condition?

I dont have experience with your insurance - however 1. Do they always require six months supervised weight loss? You would really need to contact and find out their criteria for approval.  2. Typically 'individual plans' do not cover WLS - plans vary by state so you could call around to brokers in your state an inquire... if your insurance does deny you there is an appeals process in place that you can go thru first. Also your state should have a department of insurance or insurance commissor or something that you can contact for assistance with your insurance company and their processes.
