Hi Jo,

I look forward to getting to know you and the others on this board. It seems to be a warm, supportive forum. Like you, I look forward to learning from those who are making it work and those who are struggling .... we learn so much from sharing with each other.

I'm sure that I'll be making this forum a regular stop when I log on to OH. I've already been made to feel welcome by you and others here ... Thanks so much.

All the best,

Barb

Hi Barbara,

I live about an hour and a half from you, toward Fayetteville/Southern Pines area. I had GBP Dec. 1, 2005. I started out at 284 lbs I now weigh 140 ish. My goal is 122 - 124. My lowest weight since my GBP was 133, so you see I'm up a little and struggling. I'll tell you, this Grad board is helping me a lot. I've recieved so much support here. Late night snacking is my biggest problem. I'd love to get to my goal. I read the main board and this Grad board, everyday, been known to read it several times a day, I love it. Welcome!   Kathy

Hi Kathy,

It's nice to meet you! I hold a monthly support group meeting in Raleigh and believe it or not we have folks who drive up from the Fayetteville area! It's mostly a networking/support group similar to what we have here on OH, but in person. Just like OH in general, we have broad cross-section of people ... some who are just starting their journey, some who are years out, some who have had RNY, lapband, fobi pouch, ... you get the idea. If you are ever up this way, you are so very welcome to join us sometime. We have about 125 members of the group, but we normally have 25 to 30 show up for the meetings.

I'm really impressed with you progress. According to the folks who run my program at Duke, they still consider you to be successful and within tolerance with a 'bounce back' of 10%. You are well within that standard. I would consider you an absolute success at this and look forward to getting to know you better and to learn from you.

Congratulations on your fabulous success ... You are an inspiration.

Thanks for the warm welcome,

Barb
