thank you so much! I saw my oncologist yesterday and he told me that if I had not had the gastric bypass surgery he would not have felt my swollen lymph node....so that was great news.....they are still studying my cancer so not sure yet what it is but either way I know I will be fine.....

I think your cancer returning is just plain bad luck, and has nothing to do with WLS.  Don't know of any studies relating cancer reocurrance and WLS. DAVE

I did not mean to imply in any way that the bypass had anything to do with my cancer.....my concern was simply about my nutrition.....but thanks for replying....I do not regret my surgery at all...it was one of my best decisions ever.....

Best of luck to you, Becky---both on your marriage--and on your continued fight against cancer. Everyting I've ever heard and read about cancer says that attitude and patient drive has everything to do with success in beating it. Clearly you are a positive person--I'm sure you have moments when you're down and struggling, but your demeanor shines through. Enjoy your wedding day--and all that follows. I'll keep you in my thoughts... Kim
