Late night Snack Patrol

Yep, my worst time of day is before bed.  It's become a HABIT to eat.  I am not hungry.  Shoot, I am not even emotional, it's just a REALLY bad habit.  So, tonight when I feel like reaching for crap-o-rama, I am going to come here and post instead.  I am hoping it helps!! I had a great lunch and then I went to grab a few (just a few...the downfall mantra of the century) M&Ms.  Then I went to grab a few more and said "NOPE!  Gonna go check in on the snack thread instead!"   So, here I am.  Thanks for the encouragement.   YOU folks are amazing, don't EVER forget it!

I did really good just thinking about this thread...last night... Carla I swear, No matter how hard I try to ignore you...There you are!  LOL  So I headed for the cupboard during Dancing with the Stars...took a peek and said Damn it CARLA!!!! Fine...No snack!  After the show...I got up again....stared into the dark at the pantry door...There you were standing there with your neon blue back ground, shaking that little yellow smily face finger at me...So I plopped back down on my couch with a large glass of water...and with no snack...Finally... I had a snack after 5 hours of fighting head hunger! I was legitimately hungry with aches and pains and all...So I ate a little snack...and never had another...One snack in 10 hours...uh yeah!  Good job getting in my head!  LOL You are making me be good!  What's up with that???

You're feeling sleepy,,,, so sleepy... you will follow my commands.. you will not snack... when I count to three you will fill rested and full.. you will never want a snack again.. Great job you Carla

OMIGOD that is soooo funny...That's what happened last night!  I fell asleep before I could get the munchies!   Okay yer scarin' me now!  LOL Hugs! Anita

Carla, you've got the biggest fan with me in North Carolina. I know this takes a lot of your time I just hope you actually recieve support through this and you can realize the help you're giving. Locally, I can't find the help I need (WLS Graduate.) We've got special needs, challenges and issues. I do have a wonderful support here within my family though. Thanks Carla, I just needed to tell you thanks.  Night Snacking is my biggest issue.

Carla, you are such a wonderful person to spend so much of your time supporting all of us on this messageboard. THANKS!

As for all of us evening/night time snackers. I know that I cannot change the fact that I will want something in the evening when I have ended my day and am relaxing watching the tube and on my laptop checking out OH ect... So I usually save an allocated amount of good food to have during that time. I still stay within my usual daily calorie count and it has not given me any trouble. I believe that the time you eat is not important as long as you don't go too far over your target calorie count for the day.

exactly.. plan that snack into your day.. I do the same.. I want my ice cream at night so I plan it in each day.  than I dont feel guilty when I relax in front of the tv with my bowl of ice cream and tvp.. gotta make it healthy some how right..lol..  Thats the key.. moderation throughout the day and moderation throughout the night .. thats something we have all had a problem with in the past..
