Ok. so I ate all day and than went out for dinner for my yearly prime rib and lobster bday dinner.. yumm.. of course I bring more home than I can eat. lol So how was everyones day.  Mine is just crazy coupled with a late day at work and a mad dash home...  If you noticed I lived on protein bars today. Breakfast:

Here I finally am! Ive been so sick, I have been eating everything trying to feel better!! I went to the doc, had blood work done, everything was fine. Im still weak and dizzy,,but there seems to be no source, They even checked the thyroid. Then I broke off 2 teeth, and was in horrible pain for a week!  Today I weighed and was distressed to see I was up,,,but Im back on track. Heres the scoop for today.. Calories    980 Fat   63 Carbs  38 Protein  64 and lotsa water! One day at a time I guess.. Be Blessed Betsy

Sorry to hear you werent feeling and well and I know the teeth thing had to hurt.  Hope you are back on the mend and ready to get that ship up and sailing again.. looks like a good start to charting your course Carla

Another hectic day. Chiropractor visit to see about my boney tailbone...LOL. Yes. No padding has it's down side.  Breakfast: malto meal, soy protein, soy milk, coffee Snack: 1 oz cheese stick, 1 medium orange Lunch: 4 oz shrimp, 1 cup of frozen green beans microwaved for two minutes, ****tail sauce Snack: 1 medium apple, 1/4 cup Toffee Peanuts, 1/4 cup yogurt raisins Dinner: 3 oz of roasted chicken, 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, 1/4 cup peas, boiled.  Dessert: 1 banana, protein and soy milk shake...mmm. no more ice cream.  I'm looking for a way to get my carbs down and it looks like I have to get rid of the malto meal for sure. Maybe try oatmeal again.. Totals for the day:  Calories: 1921 Fat: 48 Carbs: 241 Protein: 161 Great numbers on fat and protein...Good on the calories..really bad on the carbs but...seems like everything that is worth eating has too many carbs...At least the carbs I got were good ones. Except those malto meal carbs. Do you think it's possible to get hypoglycemic reaction from the malto meal? I think twice in a week I got hot flashes soon after eating breakfast. Hot flashes from menopause or hot flashes from carb rush...Not sure? Nothing else seems to do that and it's only happened twice but maybe I should cut out the malto meal and see for sure.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I know some ppl have problems like that but you have been eating MOM for ever.  I would think it would be something else.. not sure what.. You have been adding things to it lately.  Could that be the reason. Great day.  wow... low fat too.. I am impressed. Carla

You're right. I had a reaction an hour after the oatmeal today...it's definately not what I'm eating. It's just those stupid menopause hot flashes so it's not something I can change by what I'm eating. I have them generally after I eat so I thought maybe it's not menopause but it is...I can't explain it away that easy. I'm getting old....oh crap.

I'll chime in on the malto meal....I had the Hodgkins Multi-Grain hot cereal yesterday morning with 1/2 scoop of protein powder and soy milk.  I had a hypoglycemic episode (the worse yet) and I've eaten this many times without a problem.  I've had it also happen with oatmeal but I didn't have protein powder so I felt with the protein powder I could avoid it.  Now I'm thinking I'll throw the Hodgkins Multi-Grain away, I felt aweful.

malto meal and protein powder makes that meal 47 grams of carbs...alone..But I'm not sure it was the malto meal cuz I'm having flashes all day long after I eat..before I eat...LONG after I eat. When I've had a real hypoglycemic event it included palpitations, hot flash and weakness...This was just mostly hot and sweaty stuff...
