My SEVEN YEAR anniversary!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! I just felt compelled to write in and share with everybody that tomorrow will be SEVEN years since my RNY!  It doesn't seem that long ago at all, but then again, it seems that I never was "that way" to begin with!  It has been a bumpy ride (with many more bumps to come!) but thanks to God, family, all of you guys, and my own determination, I feel that I have indeed succeeded.  I have bounced up a few pounds from time to time, and 10 mos. after surgery got pregnant.  I have also had several female surgeries, and many other ups and downs, but I am, today, within about 7 pounds of where I need to be.  I posted last week that I decided to renew my commitment, but I feel that tomorrow is a very fitting time to start fresh in many areas of my life, not just eating.  After all, it was a new beginning seven years ago, so marking the anniversary with a new attitude will be an encouragement to me that I can do this.  I have done it, and I can continue.  God bless you all.  Thanks to everyone....I love to hear from all of you!

Congratulations! And if you were here, I would shake your hand and say "Thank you for being a success, and representing the wls patients who do not gain their weight back."  I get so tiresome of hearing people say that, and would love to just hang up a billboard with all the longtermers success stories!  Congratulatons!

Congrats! I *totally* want to be you when I grow up. Long term maintenance is my biggest fear (even though I've been maintaining for nearly 18 months now). Thanks for taking time to share your day! Continued success, happiness and health to you!

Congrats... 7 YEARS!!!  Wowee. Good for you. You've been thru a lot of things and you held on to the goal!  That is nice to read about...I've had smooth sailing right on up to my 4th year.  Things got a little OFF.....and I think I got things back under control again...It's a different kind of bumpy road, isn't it?  But to think of what your last 7 years would have been MO....I shudder to think of my life for more years with all that weight...Um um um....7 years!  That's just awesome!   Hugs! Thank you to all of you for your kind words.  It's funny because I have never thought of myself as someone worthy of beong looked up to.  I guess I just think of myself as just an average person, but when you step back and put your life under the microscope...sometimes you find that you have made a real difference in others lives and your own!  I am proud of myself, but I do struggle everyday...some more than others, and today I just need to think long and hard about just where I was severn years ago.  I've been looking at that old picture of me pre-wls, and I think, Who's she?  I don't know her anymore, but she tries to get reaquainted with me often.  I refuse to let her back in, though!   Thanks again, guys...you are all so sweet!!!!:)
