Is it really you? Man wow for me

Last week I made it to Onederland. Yesterday I hit another milestone. I started this journey at 345, and I weighted 195 yesterday, all day long. This AM I weight 195.8 pounds, so I have officially lost 150 pounds on my journey. I've tried my best to do everthing right, but have "strayed" once in a while. My vitamins company sent me some samples of a new energy booster last week, and I tried them over the weekend. Used them for 3 days, lost 4 pounds. I went to my first support meeting of the month and made my 150 pound weight loss announcement. I feel great. I gain knowledge from the forums on OH, one other forum site, my support groups, and Internet research. There is always information available to assist you on your journey. I'm a happy camper today. Dave,
Congrats! I know it feels good! I had to tell you that when I first came back to OH after doing my weight loss journey all alone for 4 years, your posts were some of the first I read and I have looked up to you and your thoughtfulness and helpful kindness to new and frightened WLS people. You inspired me to help others too and ease their fears and worries. I don't have all the answers, but I always have a hug if nothing else. You have such patience with people and their same questions over and over and over again....hahaha....and such a willingness to just help in anyway you can...You are such a role model! I think you are awesome for a skinny guy!
Hugs
Anita
I've always had that in my nature--trying to be helpful. I know when I began raising cats some 30 years ago, there was no Internet, other breeders were not helpful. limited printed resources, etc. So had to learn everthing about raising Ragdoll cats from the "school of hard knocks". Many disappointments, a lot of wasted $$$, wasted time, etc. But you can learn from your mistakes. I recently wrote a book on Cattery Managment to help the new breeder learn things easier instead of the twisted road I travelled.
I see many posts here, and I come to the conclusion that many patients are not listening to their doctors or nutritionists, or they just sign up for surgery without the benefit of these sources of information. I want everyone to be successful who goes down this journey, so that's the major reason I try to be as helpful as possible. Thanks for the kind words too. DAVE
