Surgery in Juarez

Has anyone had or does anyone know someone who had bariatric surgery done in Juarez, MX. I am scheduled to have the vertical sleeve done by Dr Arturo Rodriguez in Juarez and I am starting to freak myself out because I have not found one person who had their surgery done there. Please Help

Do you know much about Star Medica or Hospital Angeles? I am almost certain I am having the surgery done at Star Medica which my surgeon prefers. Have you had a bariatric procedure. Which one did you have? When did you have it? How are you doing with it now? Thanks for your reply

i have lived in el paso all my life.. lately i haven't gone to juarez because of what is going on over there right now. i had gastric bypass  2 and 1/2 years ago.. i am doing great with it.. haven't had any problems.. i am not lactose intolerant though....  best experience and extremely happy i did it. 

I lived in El Paso in the late 80's, was stationed at Wm Beaumont Medical Center/Ft Bliss. I know there is a lot of unrest in Juarez these days mostly drug related. I am not planning on hanging out in Juarez, just having surgery and back to El Paso

I only heard about Dr. Rodrigues in Monterray and he isn"t very good.  I talked to a guy that had a lot of problems when he went home from surgery.  He had a leak and infection.  He told me about another person that had problems. I couldn"t find many people that went to Dr. Rodrigues and nobody but one that had a sleeve.  I don"t think he is very experienced.  Since I"m getting a sleeve I decided not to go to him.  But maybe it"s not the same doctor you are talking about.  This is Dr. Arturo Rodrigues in Monterray. I"m going to a Doctor in Mexicali because my mom lives in Yuma and Mexicali is really close to Yuma and I"m staying with her after my surgery.  That way she can come with me to the hospital too.  I want my MOM! LOL
