Good morning ! Hi Laura, Hi Jewelring!  Well, we're done!  How did you guys do?  Haven't had any sugar / carbs which is great.  I'm not really craving them.  I lost 7 lbs!  I feel like doing this all over again!  2 days liquids, the rest of the week protein & veggies  What do you guys think?  Please post your progress..I'm thinking of doing 2 days of liquids starting tomorrow again & see if it works the second time around!  Hugs & Blessings from Maggie

Hi Maggie, congrats on the 7 lbs! Ginny, Carla (I think she had to see if she had what she needed to do it) and myself are doing the 5dpt starting today.  If you want, join us; but don't get discouraged if you don't see the scale move as quickly this time.....it's pretty quick to do it again but I think it would be fine.

Hi Dana! I agree with you.  I don't believe if I do it so soon I would have the same results, but ....there's only one way to find out !  I'm thinking of starting it on Wednesday again, let's see what happens!  Hugs from Maggie

Hello Maggie and Jewelring! I didn't do very well sticking to all the rules while being gone on the church retreat but I did concentrate on changing some of the bad habits I've picked up. No more drinking carbonation, no more drinking before/during/after meals - following the 30 minute rule now. Really making sure that I am truly hungry, making good protein choices and stopping when I am comfortably full. I did lose about 5-6lbs though just by making those changes after the two days of liquids. I am going to start a new 5 day kick start program that I found on another bariatric site that my surgeon recommends. If you would like a copy of it, just email me privately and I will send one to you. It is mostly like Atkins - controlling carb intake to <40g per day to kick in the ketosis. It has a list of things to avoid, etc... and I will probably try to stay on it for the next 2 weeks and then gradually add back some things to my diet. I am also going to start walking more now that the weather has gotten better here in Michigan. I see my plastic surgeon on Saturday and hopefully he will release me from my restrictions or at the very least, cut back on them so I can do more exercise. Thank you so much for your encouragement! I hope to find some others that want to take on this challenge with me...to get Back on Track by summer!!! ~Laura

Hello out there, I am new at this.  I am almost 3 years out.  I had picked up some very bad habits and want to get back on track.  It has been a long time since I have been to OH website and just started a few days ago.  I am doing the 5 day plan and am on day 4.  Things are going pretty well with me and I am excited about the way things are turning out.  I would like to have the plan Laura's doctor suggested to see what all kinds of things to avoid.  If you could email me at [email protected] I would love it.  Thanks so much.
