3rd Day - 5 DPT

Good morning Laura, Jewelring & everyone else! How are my 5 DPT buddies doing this morning?  Made it through the 2 days !!  Thank God!  Honestly, last night I just "needed" to chew on something salty, the headaches for some reason got worse ( I think its because I'm PMSing) But anyway, I had 1 string cheese & a few wheat crackers & felt much better.  (Maybe it was that carb crash?) Got on the scale this morning...down 1.5 lbs, so a total of 4.5 lbs down in 2 days.  Not bad right?  This morning I had 1/2 of an omelet, for lunch is zucchini with organic beef ( I know I jumped ahead, but was out of chicken).  Well guys, let's keep focused, encouraged & motivated!  I will not weigh myself again until Monday, I will post throughout the weekend though.  Have a fantastic Friday!  Hugs & Blessings from Maggie

As the song says....(singing out loud....) "I feel good, nah nah nah...."  I feel in control again.  I have energy.  I am so much more cognizent (?sp?) and in control of my head over my pouch hunger.  So far today I've had cottage cheese for breakfast (after my usual cup of coffee of course), and then an Unjury shake for a mid morning snack.  Then I headed out for some errands.  Since I knew I would be on the road for the rest of the morning and afternoon, I packed myself a cooler with some protein shakes and some string cheese.  Had 2 pieces of string cheese when I felt hungry and they did the trick.  Later I treated myself to yet another coffee drink (told ya....I'm a die hard addict....) of unsweetened iced coffee to which I added equal and milk myself....tasted good and filled me up yet again.  On the way home, I felt some hunger pangs again and drank another protein shake.  Surprise, surprise...it was more than enough to satisfy me.  When I got home, I thought I was hungry, but realized I hadn't really drank a lot yet today since I was on the road doing errands (and I hate using public bathrooms, so I tend to not drink a lot when I'm away from home...sorry T.M.I...) so I promised myself that if I was still feeling hungry after I drank, then I would make myself a snack (no more shakes though, I've had enough of them today)  Drank a huge mug (32 oz size) of some Crystal Lite and I no longer feel hungry.  I'm just sooo pleased so far with how this 5DPT is waking up my head.  I really feel like I'm going to be able to resume good eating habits after day 5 is over.  One thing I've decided is that I'm going to allow protein shakes back into my daily habits.  My nutritionist advises to give up the protein shakes and use dense protein instead, but I see no problem with using one a day as a snack.  They really seem to help control my appetite and you can't beat the protein boost from them.  Maybe this will help to keep me on track in the future.  Well, now I am feeling hunger pangs....guess all of that Crystal Lite has left my pouch!!!!  I'm going to have an egg for a snack, then dinner will be some broiled Tialpia and some roasted butternut squash.  I wonder what the scale will show when this is over and done?  Maybe I will have finally broken thru that 2-3 pound barrier wall I keep banging into!!!!!  I can only hope......

 Where would my weight be today if I was on WW all this time?  Not here, thats for sure!

Congratulations on your weight loss! that's great.  I am on day 4, lost 1 lb the first day and 1lb the 2nd day, haven't weighed myself yet.   I really do believe this is working for me.  This morning I had chicken salad and a cheese stick, I waited about an hour before I had liquids and I can't seem to drink too much.. I feel better, but a few headaches here and there, guess it's carb withdrawal. Good luck to you! Monica
