Amino Acid Suppliments

Does anyone take these suppliments and can they be used towards our daily protein intake?  Here is the info on one particular brand I have seen.  I'd be interested to hear others opinions...

Each tablet contains: %EC RDA**

The answer is no.  The reason that it's called "amino acids" and not a protein suppliment is that there is not enough amino acids in it to make a complete protein profile..meaning that it's not giving you everything you need to be counted as protein.  I'd suggest finding a good whey protein shake and sticking with that. The problem with the amino acid pills or tablets is that you have to take so many of them! They are only one gram of amino's a piece, so say if you want to get in 30 grams of amino's, you would have to swallow 30 of them! Scotty is right, a protein shake is more complete and easier to get down! In my opinion, they are not worth a WLS patients money. A body builder, yes. Us? Not really.
