Hello all.. I am so glad it is thursday.  I have had a very long week at work and at home and it is still not over.. I am probably gonna need to go in for a few hours to get some stuff done.  yeah.  Anyway.  How was your week.. mine was pretty good other than busy.  My ship is having problems this week.  I am gonna try and eat more tonight to get my cals up but I am not sure I will get it in.  just no time to eat the last couple of days. Here was my day Breakfast:

Well, so much for not snacking much today. I did nothing BUT snack...And it backfired on me. Made my pouchy really grouchy...I had a tummy ache this afternoon. But it was probably more because I got ticked off at lunch time than what I ate. Dealing with idiot people in the pet industry tends to do that to me, I guess.  So I also hit the sauce when I got home. Not so much that I'm crocked, yet. But I did open a wine cooler. I've had two sips and I feel pretty good. AND I can still type. Dinner soon so I'll be fine.  Breakfast: Malto meal, TVP and soy milk, coffee (of course) Snack: 1 oz cheese stick wrapped with one slice of roasted turkey breast lunch meat. Lunch: 5 oz of Cooked Shrimp and 2 oz of ****tail sauce. Yum.  Snack: 1 container of Dannon Yogurt (4 oz) and 1/2 serving of SF Toffee bits (1/8 cup is a half serving) Snack (then I went nuts): 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds, hulled, 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate covered Coffee Beans Dinner: about 5 oz of Pork Steak; mashed potatoes and corn and of course a 12 oz wine cooler. I'm gonna sleep tonight boy!  Totals for the day: Calories: 2004 Fat; 78 Carbs: 182 Protein: 134 I did okay even with the snacking. Tomorrow...More water, less snacking. Even if I have to drink coffee all day.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Well you numbers are get even if you snacked.. dont keep beating yourself over it.. I'm the only one that is allowed to do that..lol... you made some good choices for your snacks.. thats what counts right.  all you numbers are right in there.  youre doing great... now take a deep breath.. it will be ok. Hi Carla, I keep looking at fitday and thinking I must of forgot something......I feel like I ate more than that today but if I did it's slipped my mind because I can't think of what I might have missed. It's TOM for me and I want to really eat junk food, so far I'm avoiding it but about to say tough tonight and grab something crunchy........maybe I should go to bed, lol. April 17, 2008

So did a little better on the protein today. I've got to get a better routine with working out when I'm working. It's hard working 12 hr nightshifts! I used to workout right after work and I would sleep like a baby. I've recently tried going home, sleeping til 4ish and waking up to go workout. Yeah...not working out for me. So, I'll go back to working out right after work even if I am tired as hell! I used to drink the Atkins shakes alot...the new Cafe latte ones. For some reason, they give my tummy the heebie jeebies. My stomach always gets a lil flustered with these but they taste good. The upside is whenever I need to go the bathroom....the Atkins shake is the key to success! I don't know what's going on with that. -Healthy choice meal: ate the meatloaf, mashed taters and green beans from it -1 plum, half pack of peanuts -few cantaloupe chunks -3 hot wings, 2 potato chunks, 1 pc. of sweet plantain -25g New Whey vial -Atkins shake -1/2c. tuna salad w/LF mayo on 1/2 whole wheat wrap w/LF shredded cheddar and lettuce -SF pudding for snack and some cooked string beans My estimates are: Cals 1220..not bad but wanted it to be less since I didn't work out. Once I go home I hate going back to work out.. like to do it when I am already out so I dont have and excuse to get out of it.  much better protein today.  Try other protein drinks.  There has got to be something out there that doesnt get your tummy upset. great day there.. Carla

I do lowe thoes number for you great protein and no pastry.. look at the carb number.. youre doing awesome... one week done... keep it up Carla

Here it is almost midnight and Im just now checkin in,,,twas a busy day here. Ill admit, Im gettin discouraged! im journaling everything,,and the scale isnt moving!! I dont know if Im eating too much, or too little, or is it the fact that Im not drinking much water?? I have a speaking engagement in a month,and I need to lose a few pounds to get my clothes to fit nicely,,anyone have any ideas? Im walking,,and staying under 1400 calories most days. Any advice?? Im 61 years old and 2.5 years out from surgery. I lost 120 pounds,,and gained back 10. Help!! Today was spent in the car pretty much,,hubbys day off, we were yard saling,,,, Calories  1400 Fat    70 Carbs 146 Protein   65 Water- hardly any! Give me some ideas please!! Im desperate! Betsy
