Hi, I Tried the 5day pouch diet and was forcing the sugr free stuff down, just trying to get over it-- This was not something I could eat before my surgery and it appears I can't eat it now--Day One I felt queasy from the splenda and day two I dumped the sugar-free pudding-- I don't even do that after eating chocolate.  Any ideas-- Thanks, kim

I can't handle fake sugar either. I also do better with a little bit of real sugar. I even put some white chocolate & dark chocolate chips in my homemade colon-blast, a concoction I make with Fiber One cereal, raisins and almonds, and unless I go overboard with it (which I do sometimes), I do OK. But I get sick every time off sugar-free stuff.

I just recently tried "stevia" which is a plant ...In fact, yesterday while buying my summer herbs for my herb garden (at Home Depot)...I found a stevia plant! I was so excited!  I broke off a tiny piece of the leaf and ate it! It's like eating sugar....(It's VERY sweet)  Very nice! I use alcohol free drops and now I can't wait to use the fresh leaves as garnish to eat with fruity desserts and such!  It looks like mint...but tastes 10 times the sweetness of sugar! in a tiny little drop! I use several drops to sweeten stuff and feel much better about it than eating fake sugars....I don't do well with sugar alcohols and tolerate regular sugar much better! But I'd rather use something natural.  So this was a great find!
