Hmmm let see. Today was okay - still a little snacky - must be TOM approaching...

B: 1 packet of McCanns SF oatmeal with light butter (4g)
S: AchievOne (20g)
L: Cottage cheese pancakes with light butter and SF maple syrup and 1 TJ's mini whole wheat pita toasted with light butter and wheylow gold (17g)
S: SF Lemon bar (2g)
D: chicken salad made with cottage cheese and 1.5 oz of Kays Halapeno/Honey pretzels (42g)
S: 1/2 c. Fage with 1/4 c. Splenda sweetened mandarin orange slices and 1 T LF cream cheese (11g)
S: 3 mini SF cheesecake bites (5g)
S: Chike smoothie (32g)

Cals: 1410 Fat: 50g Carbs: 104g Prot: 133g

OK ... so the SF Lemon bar was homemade by a co-worker and made me dump. It tasted good, but I won't do that again!

The SF mini cheesecake bites - well, I was just in the mood to bake and I'm tossing them - too slippery of a slope for me...definitely a trigger and I don't want them around. Wasteful, yes - but I would rather do that than end up with it back on my hips!

I know my numbers are closer to where they are supposed to be but I felt like I ate way too much today. I think this "maintenance mode" is harder on my brain than it is on my body... hope you all forgive me for being so neurotic about it. I complain when I don't get enough and then I panic about regain when I do get enough...this is a never-ending battle I tell ya! (sigh...)

Will start fresh tomorrow and hopefully this darn snacky, sweet-tooth thing will ease up!

You sound like all of us.  I tell you maintaince is tough..  I know I have been working at it now for 6 months.  I want to raise my calories but am affraid to do it.  I try for a while than go back to the low end.  Spending all of our lives eating away or on the great long diet has really never given us the chance to learn to just eat normally.  stick with us.  there are a lot of us learning the same thing. nice day for you on all your numbers.. good idea to get rid of those things.. I had to do that with the cookies... I just hate that sometimes I have no will power to just eat one and let it go. Take care. Carla

Well, my day was going well until I saw a friend of mine. She was one of my inspirations to have WLS in the first place and she seems to have slipped into gaining weight again. I'm worried and determined and depressed all in one. Thinking it can't happen to me, but what if it does? I'm skeerd.  Today went like this:  Breakfast: malto meal, soy protein, soy milk, 2 cups of coffee.  Snack: 1 medium orange, 1 oz cheese stick Snack: 1/4 cup roasted soy beans, 1/4 cup dark chocolate covered edamame beans Lunch: 5 oz chopped chicken thighs, grilled, 1 cup shredded lettuce, 1/2 italian tomato, 1 serving of Non-Fat Zesty Italian dressing Snack: 1/2 a medium zucchini raw, 1/8 cup sour cream based dip, low fat Snack: 3 pc of SF Winco Chocolate covered caramels, 11.5 oz canned ice coffee (Cappacino) Dinner: 2 beef tacos, made with extra lean beef, lettuce, tomato, salsa, cheddar&jack.  No dessert...I'm afraid. Maybe a decaf coffee later.  Calories: 2012 Fat: 88 Carbs: 195 Protein: 120
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Wow I am right there with you Dawn.  I have a couple of friends that have had some serious weight gain since wls.  One guy I know is only 40 pounds from regaining it all back and is back on insulin.  He wants my help and I try but he has to stop the snacking or no one can help him.. its up to us to monitor ourselves and stay on track.  thats why this thread is so good.  It makes us evaluate what we do everyday to stay on track and keep that weight off.  Everyone on this panel is somewhere in the journey and we are all learning from each other.. what a great place to be. YOu did good with numbers.. fats a bit high but not to bad.  You are my inspiration girl.. we can do this together and stay on that road to good health and maintenance.  You are doing great. Carla

I found some really interesting things at the store the other day.. a regular store.  Non meat meats.. they arent bad and low in fat and cals and has great protein since they are made with veggie proteins.  It was nice for a change.  I love my tsp to make chili and stuff and it really knocks the cals way down for me. I think I like it better than turkey burger meat.   You had a good day but yes.. you need to get that protein up a bit.  check out the veggie section in your market and see if there is something there you might want to try.  I had salsbury steak the other night and frozen boca burgers are good too. Feel better  Carla

Good evening Captain, My computer was purring at me for 20 minutes as I was sending a reply to Tami, I lost the reply and my computer turned itself off...totally freaked me out...I ran to the desktop and started checking settings there so if this one didn't come back on I could at least get online on that one....well 1/2 hr later I turned laptop on and it seems fine and no purring. I am afraid it will go to sleep and never wake up but I think its time for a new one. Any side effects from treatment? You did fine...and deserved 3 cookies after that drive. I have a 5 hr drive next Monday to see my bariatric surgeon, I really don't like the drive up and back to see him 15 minutes but I enjoy seeing him even if its 5 minutes. He's great. Here's mine just sipping my last 30 grams as I type and its bedtime soon. Vits all done.

I have been on remecade now for 3 years and it works so good for me.  I dont even notice the arthritsis if I keep my treatments going.  I had to stop for a while when they were trying to figure out what was wrong with my legs and I could barely move.  That stuff is awesome.  Kind of scarey cause it can mess with your body, considering what it is, but so far no problems.  I get a little tired the day of the treatment but nothing major and I think its the meds they give me to keep me from having a reaction to the medication.  I dont think I need it but they still give it to me.. grrr... Benadryl makes me loopy. nice totals for you... u are doing really good at getting that protein in.  Yum on the spaghetti sauce.  I am making that for MIL on saturday myself.   take care of yourself and stay well..  Carla
