I'm just 4 months out and already I'm so sick of the shakes. I know I need to put them back in my diet. I've tried GNC whey protien in choc., cookie and cream, vanilla, ESC, and one I bought from my doctor's office (can't remember the name and it was yuck!).

I enjoy AchievOne and I like the mocha java i think! Can you enjoy the high protein hot cocoa or the soups, you aren't tied to the protein shakes there is other stuff o ut there. Go to www.C2Linfo.com and they will help you out. Tell them andi sent you not that it will get you anything but they will know you were referred. ANDI

I hate them all too. I tried them all. But over the last four years they have come out with some that i can actually tolerate more than others.  I LOVE Cytosport Chocolate Muscle Milk powder! (Lactose free) (Mix with pudding, coffee, soymilk or water...It tastes like chocolate cake batter! LOL I love it.  I also use Costco for the EAS Premium Protein (Soy and whey isolate blend that is lactose tolerable) I just tried the chocolate for the first time today and it's actually very bland for a change! I could barely taste it. The vanilla tastes awesome in my coffee every morning as a nice vanilla soy latte or mixed into wet cereals.  Otherwise, I hate them all!  And pure whey gives me a hellacious belly ache from the lactose.   Good luck! Try rand name web sites for free samples...

ORYX goat whey from VIOTECH.......cheaper to buy it at bodybuilding.com  as opposed to buying through VYOTECH

has 140 cals, 30 gr pro, 2 gr carb and 1gr fat  per 2 scoops and that makes one shake add more or less water....tastes yummy.  I am 7 yrs post op and still drink them.

good luck

I found that by using unflavored protien powder, either whey or soy mixed into my own drinks. I like to mix a scoop into 1/2 c ff milk and than add 4oz light and fit straberry or other flavored yogurt. You can also add it to other foods and bake with it.

Have you tried the Nectar brand powders? They come in fruit flavors....lemonade, cherry, iced tea, strawberry, and a bunch more. I love them! I get tired of the traditional shakes, and these come in handy when I don't think a thick shake will work for me. They're not thick.
