wrap around stoma
I think so, but it's hard to say. I think for sure that sliders have the same effect on me as anyone---go right through relatively quickly.
But if I don't drink around mealtimes, then I can only take in about 3/4 cup and that's it--not a drop more. and even that is a push. I had my surgery almost 2 years ago now.

If it counts, I've heard of that being a newer addition to surgeries to avoid stretching of the stoma. Sounds like an interesting concept to me!

I wonder if thats similar concept to those who get a ring below their stoma? I believe its done in conjunction with the VSG? There is a surgeon here in my area that puts the ring so the stoma wont stretch but its plastic (I think?) not from the persons body.
I could be all sorts of wrong thou - lol!
