Malto O Meal recall

Possible Salmonella contamination is forcing a recall of popular Malt-O-Meal breakfast cereal.  The cereal recall involves the puffed rice varieties made by Malt-O-Meal. The cereals include unsweetened Puffed Rice and unsweetened Puffed Wheat cereals, which have been distributed under the Malt-O-Meal brand name as well as other private brand names including Hannaford, Shaw's, Acme, America's Choice, Food Club, Giant, Jewel, Laura Lynn, Pathmark, ShopRite, Tops and Weis Quality. The products were shipped nationwide with "Best if used by" dates between April 8, 2008, and March 18, 2009. I eat Malt-O-Meal, hot cereal and not the puffed rice variety but someone else might need this info!  Thanks Mirabelle for bringing this to our attention...I eat malto meal nearly every day but just not puffed rice variety.
