Good evening Captinete, (captain in training) You menu sounded good... now don't yell at me, total cals are low but look at my protein. I don't know what my lobster, shrimp and scallops where cooked in...it was hubby 60th birthday and we celebrated on Sanibel, I didn't want to start with the waiter about how much fats they may have used but I think I can safely add about 200 cals to my total. I skipped dessert.   April 9, 2008

I have no business yelling at anyone! I'm only allowed to yell at myself and I don't listen anyway. Your protein numbers are fabulous compared to the cals and fat...I'm jealous.. I tend to get bored easily with my meals so I try and sub different things to keep myself interested...Most times I'm disinterested anyway. I'm such a teenager. LOL

Hi! I'm kinda confused as to where my calories should be for losing weight. I've been working out daily just about and vigorous working out at that, and I'm getting 1300-1500 cals a day. My calculated BMR is 1600 so maybe I should shoot for 1400 cals per day??? I figured I'll try a few things to see what yields the better results. Anyhoo....here I go: -Ham n cheese sammy on 2 slices whole wheat, little bit of LF mayo, Light n Fit yogurt -1 cheese snack, 6 saltines, Light n Fit yogurt - Myoplex Lite shake - small plum, 1/2 serv. almonds - Luna Bar preworkout - 1 spare rib, 1 pc. teriakyi chicken, 4oz. FF milk - 3 oz. salmon, sauteed asparagus -med banana, 3 chocolates (a pts. family gave them to us...had to eat em!) Did 45 mins spin today. Estimated totals: Cals 1560 Protein 113 April

I'm a supporter of slow and sure wins the race. If you want to lose weight it would be the same as gaining only in reverse..To add weight, I'm upping the calories alittle at a time and gaining as slowly as possible. Yup. lower the calories and up the exercise. It looks really good to me. You're lowering the calories just alittle and keeping up the movement..Just be sure to keep your protein up there. If you need to, you can add a protein drink to up that without doing too much damage to  your calorie count.. Your ship is going strong..Keep up the good work.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go down to maybe 1100-1200 cals a day. Shouldn't be too hard because some days it's really hard to get to the 1300-1500. Thanks! April

I tend to eat more "slider" foods so I can get more calories in. They say the harder something is to digest, the longer it stays in your pouch so the longer you feel full. So fill up on tough steak? I don't know what the answer is but keep us posted...We'll follow your example...

Glad that you posted an accountability thread today because I'm having a "snack-a-thon"... and not so happy to admit it.  Stress landed on my doorstep... 'nuf said.  Anyway, I need to be 'fess-up.   LOL B: Double Choc. Crunch bar L: 1/2 oz 2% cheddar, 6 oz Dannon Fit, 2 Sunsweet Ones, 2 Nature Valley Peanut Butter bars D: about 2 oz chicken, 64g zucchini, 1 oz Barilla Plus (hard to eat more), some Ragu  S: Mini Smart Pop, Jello Double Choc Pudding, 6 oz Dannon Fit, another Jello Double Choc Pudding, 84g zucchini  Cals:  964  Fats: 24  Carbs:  163  Protein:  55 My weekly average is still in the standard range that I've been using for months, but my cravings were "way-off".  I was surprised by the amount of "slider" foods, but I needed some comfort food and these were by far better choices than I could have made today.  Thanks for the shoulder! Missus Little, I was so touched by your tribute to your mom (((Big Hug))).  What a great idea!    We donate to our local Food  Action in honor to my mom during the year and  especially on her birthday.  It makes me feel connected to her.  She & I had a "joke" about baby wipes so DH & I drop-off a few cases on her special day.
