Are you gaining weight?  I am also eating what I feel like is all day long but I'm not gaining. I'm logging my intake on fitday (there are others like spark people) and if you keep track of your calories and fat and protein you might see that although you're eating small meals and snacks all day long, you may still be only intaking 1000 calories. Or you'll see with your activity level your intake of 1700 calories a day isn't causing weight gain. We do a weekly weigh in on Fridays too. We do an accountability of what we eat all day, each day on this board. this week our "leader" Carla is out for a while but we'll all keep an eye on eachother and make sure our "ships" are sailing straight and true...

Take a peek at the last posting on the screen for WLS Grads. It starts out Accountability...We do one each day (at least I do). If nothing else it gives you some ideas on food to eat. It's nice to see what everyone else is eating and you can compare your typical diet with what other people are eating.

Hi!  I am 15 months post op and I started to see me eating a lot and did the 5 Day Pouch Test.  IT WAS AWESOME!!!  I hadn't realized that when I was snacking (even healthy snacks) that it was more a thirst issue!  AND that carbs had lead me astray sooo much!  Anyway, it's a get thing to get back on track! Hugs!

Go to www.5daypouchtest.com and they set out the rules and even give you sample plan and recipes!  I went from 134 to 128(I usually bounce between those weight tho).  I did it just to get back into control and that I did!  Hugs!

Honey, breathe!!!! I had the same experience at about the same time post-op.  We get a little careless and start eating wrong. Journal every bite you take.  I kept track of protein, calories, water intake and my supplements.  This helps to keep yourself aware of your intake.  It isn't unusual for us to gain a little at about 18 mos out, and then start to lose a little more.  Don't get back into the "diet mindset"--that's what put us in the position of needing the surgery in the first place.   If you feel as if you need to work on proper eating, I'd like to suggest the South  Beach Program, probably Stage 2.  That's pretty low in carbs, but a good way to re-educate ourselves about food. You'll eventually learn how much you can tolerate of carb intake.  Don't worry so much. Hugs,
