Greatest Pasta Less pasta recipe ever
I have to share this great find with you. I bought these noodles called shiritaki, they have ones made from Tofu and yam ones. http://www.practicallyedible.com/edible.nsf/encyclopaedia!op enframeset&frame=Right&Src=/edible.nsf/pages/yamnoodles!open document. The yams ones are calorie free and the Tofu have only 20 calories per serving. 1 bag has 2 servings.
What i did was take a can of crush tomatoe,
garlic, onion, mushrooms, red peppers, and zucchini and sauteed in olive oil.
Drain the noodles, rinse if desired
Heat through.
Delicious spaghetti!
It has the same texture, suckability and is yummy!
Peace and Blessings, Melinda

Oh good...Someone tried those things! I saw some for the first time at the store and one pack didn't look enough to serve my family and they looked weird and scary! LOL Now that I know someone tried them and liked them....Cool I might have to give it a try...I'll try anything! (If nothing else, your sauce looks yummy...I have a few more boxes of whole wheat pasta which I really don't love too very much...and anything to hide that wheat-cardboard smell and flavor will be nice!)
Thanks for the info
Hi Zoo, You can find them at any asian store in the refrigerated aisle. I have also found them at meijer , right near the blocks of tofu and fresh bean sprouts.
They really are quite delicious. I even like the weird looking ones that aren't white, but more clear with green flakes. The flakes are sea weed ( these just look weird, but taste the same to me)
Enjoy
Peace and Blessings, Melinda
