I KNOW I have stopped losing! My lowest was 132 and now I am struggling with going up to 138 to 136  back down to 135. I have a good two weeks where I stay at 135 but then  my period gets ready to come and I go back up to 138. I would say my average is 135 on a good day. I am active and I am stumped as to why my body is not losing. I would l like to get down to 125-128.That is my goal. Is anyone else having this problem? What do I need to do to get to where I would like to be? More water? more protein? I am open to any adivce that comes my way. thanks, carol

Well, this is where I am. My body likes to sit at 131 lately, and I want to be at 125. I started working with fitday.com, and increased my protein shakes to 4. I also work out at kung fu 3 times a week. So I am upping my intake, and working on getting in more dense protein as well. It was thought that my body was storing food because I was not taking in enough. Also, if y ou have a large muscle ratio and a small fat ratio that could account for the lbs. For me, my size hasn't changed even though my weight went up. My lowest was 113-115, but I was too skeletal and in size 2-3. Right now I sit in size 4 and medium shirts and some small. But I don't like them too tight. Hope this helps!

I was mostly done by 18 months. I weighed 180, and gained 2 pounds to struggle with. Then I had PS and he took off about 2-3 pounds, but I continued to lose down to 165. This was well after my 2 years surgiversary. I've lost a couple more down to 162-163 and I think that's about it.

How tall are you and what do you want to weigh? Many times our body finds a set point, and it's very hard to get below that level.

I am 5'5 and I would like to weigh 125-128. I'm not sure if I sound a bit crazy but I do fluctuate with my period. The most UP ive ever gone is 140 and it freaked me out. My clothes feel a bit tight and I am the type to retain water  around my mid section.Apple shape! So if I figured if I was 125-128  and my period would come  I would go up to about 134-135 and I'd be alright with it. I dont know if I make any sense. Even if I were to remain at 135 with out going up every month Id be alright with it. thanks for your reply, carol

I could have written this post.  I'm stuck at 170 and just can't get my body to shift any more no matter what I try.  Just Sunday I came to the conclusion that my body likes being here, even though I am still technically overweight and want to lose 16 more pounds to reach normal bmi. I was going to wait til I reached normal bmi to go for PS, but am now thinking I may go ahead anyway.  From reading one of the replies it looks like it also might kickstart the loss again.  Who knows - I certainly don't understand my body - it has a mind of it's own. Sorry I don't have any answers for you - but it's good to know I'm not alone in this.

What does PS stand for? Well I am going to try and focus really hard but if my body is set at this weigh I will accept it. It's nice to know I am not alone! thanks Ruth, cArol

I set some goals when I was losing weight, I guess just about everybody does. But I don't know anybody that gets to that number and stays there. I think our bodies usually know what's best. You're surely not overweight at this point, in the 130's? I'm preaching at you, and I know exactly how you feel. I stayed at 125-127 for the longest time, and then started holding around 130 and nearly s*** myself. I've made some changes and I'm back down to 128, but honestly when I look at pictures I looked my best at about 155. So why am I working so hard to stay in the 120's? I don't really know ...
