I'm wondering if anyone 5 plus years out can give me an example of what you comsume each day. I don't eat anything artificial at all--no fake sugars, fats or anything like that. The only thing I use that isn't organic is my Advocare shakes. Is there a shake that is just as good as Advocare that I haven't discovered??? I'm probably not going to go no-carb because to me, it's a starvation diet. I do avoid the whites (pasta, white flour, etc) though! I'm getting desperate!!!!!

Hi Jenn, I'm assuming you've gained a couple of lbs?  If so, we're on the same boat!  I'm also trying to incorporate more organic foods in my diet.  My eating plan starting today  is as follows; 2 protein shakes a day & 1 meal consisting of lean protein & veggies.  I make my shakes with organic low fat milk, unjury unflavored protein & organic fruits.  I can't stand the taste of plain protein shakes anymore so I'm adding fresh fruits to them.  I bought pineapple, papaya & all kinds of berries.  If you can tolerate the taste of plain shakes it's great, because you will cut down on the sugar & carb content of the fruits.  But I definitely can't, so I use soy milk instead of regular low fat milk because it has less sugar & carbs. If I get hungry in between, I'll have any kind of low fat cheese.  Don't forget your 6-8 cups of water & some form of exercise.  Best wishes on your weight loss journey! You CAN do it ! Hugs & Blessings, maggie

My nutritionist advised me 1200+ calories a day, protein goal 80-120day whi*****ludes whey protein shake, fluid goal 64 oz per day. All my vitamins. I try to eat a variety of foods from all food groups &eat a lot of shrimp & chicken. Dannon light & fit 0 plus yogurt with fiber cereal...beef jerky...south beach protein meal bars are all yummy snacks. I've had some weight gain & need to lose so I am trying each & everyday to get in the right foods and have excluded the bad white carbs. It's definately a challenge especially when you're at a plateau & just seem to stop losing but, the main thing is to stop gaining & focus on healthy eating again.  It took a while to change my bad habits but did after starting with the 5 day pouch test. I'm waiting for my lab results(it's been 5+yrs)&may have nut spell out a meal plan for me if I keep staying where I'm at. I was told not to eliminate or severely restrict carbs. I drink green tea 0 cal/0 sugar. I do not always consume this each day but, try to do my best. Have you had some regain ? I hope you find what works for you. Take care :)

Hello, You may not want my advice (I have baby regain too).  I take my vitamins with a profect protein bullet when I get up.  About an hour later I eat a scrambled egg for breakfast (for variety sometimes I add fat free or reduced fat cheese).  I usually have a moring snack of some nut (usually cashews).  Lunch is often a wrap or lean cuisine meal (minus whatever pasta is in it)  I drink a protien shake for my afternoon snack and eat some of whatever I fix for my family for dinner.  I like string cheese, peanut butter and fruit as well for snacks if I'm hungry.  Unfortunately I sometimes also snack on my son's foods.  (really not great for bypass)   Good luck.  I know it's really hard sometimes but we will loose the baby weight.  AMY
