5 day pouch test -? about Day 1/2
I am just shy of 3 yrs post-op and have some bounce-back gain (11 pounds). I attribute it to those d*#n cheese crackers I used to deal with reactive hypoglycemia about a year and a half ago. Once I starting munching on those crackers, ouch!!! Now I carry a 10-pack in the truck and keep them in my desk at school "just in case"....excuses, I know!
Now to the ? part....for those of you who have been successful with the "test", do you blend the soups so that it is all liquid or just leave the ham cubed?
Thanks, in advance, for answering my question,
Julie
I did it two different times,,,and no, I didnt blend the soups. But the soups I ate the first two days were cream soups anyway, like cream of chicken and tomato made with milk.

I just ate lentil soup and made sure to chew it really well...(not like you really have to chew lentils anyway) And I got some chili and bean soup that I did puree the meats and beans...I doubt you really have to though...Just chew really well and make sure it's with a lot of broth so you really are having a liquid and not a soft protein! :) You'll know the difference!
