My nut wants me to be eating every two hours.
Other than yogurt, jello, and cheese what else are other good snack alternatives?

I would try getting in protien snacks, like low fat cottage cheese, sliced deli turkey breast, or other meats if you are allowed to have them at this time.

This is one of my new favorites!  Microwave turkey pepperoni til crispy (watch you can burn it) with Laughin Cow Light cheese, my favorite is French Onion.

You are only one month out of surgery, why are you thinking about "snacks"? It was all I could do to get in protein drinks and water one month after surgery.

Im just following my nuts recommendations which stated for me to eat every two hours. Along with getting my protein and water in she wants me to have small healthy LF FF "snacks" between my 3 main meals to help the weight keep coming off. Thats the reason im thinking about it.

Sending you best wishes for a speedy weightloss. Congrats on your surgery. It's a big step. It makes sense to plan ahead so you have foods on hand. Keep sugar free in mind.

I eat every 2-3 hours and I'm always thinking about my next snack. I like Weight Smart oatmeal, especially the banana bread kind (good on protein, fiber and 160 calories). I eat a lot of Fiber One and Kashi bars, but it might be too early for you to eat those. I remember early out, I used to eat half a piece of string cheese and 4 or 5 grapes. I like the Weigh****chers string cheese, 60 calories each. I always brought those little individual LF cottage cheese things to work - I got so sick of cottage cheese. I eat some raisins, but they do have some sugar so you might want to limit that. Sometimes when I gotta have a cracker, I eat Kellogg's bran crackers, they're also good on protein and fiber and there's 130 calories in 16 crackers (sounds like a lot, but they're little). It's always good to have a little turkey lunch meat, maybe with a little wheat/whole grain bread if you can handle it, or my favorite thing is to put it in with some spinach and FF Italian dressing, make a little spinach salad out of it.

Doesn't sound too good, but dried peas is excellent. They're cheap, no refrigeration needed, crunchy, 1/4 cup has 6 grams or protein. I took my wife, who had a RNY revision in July 2007, for a 9 month check up. She doesn't eat too well, as part of her unused intestine from the 1980 original WLS was hooked back up.  It had atrophied and food has a difficult time getting through. So I found the dried peas.  Last month she went throut 20 pounds of them, and has one cup of oatmeal every morning. Her labs showed that her protein levels were normal--something I had worried about. So the peas gave her enough protein, and it should be a good snack for you too.

hi Dave, where do you buy dried peas?  can't say I've seen them before, but they sound interesting and 6gr of protein in 1/4c sounds like a great deal!
