frustrated about bmi-help from those years out from rny
Good Goddess, Child! Relax!!!
It sounds to me like you are healthy in the extreme. Obsessing will eventually work against you. Do you feel good? Happy with how you look? Enjoying your life? If so, then ignore the numbers- they are only a guideline, not the rules, and are frequently a source of frustration. All frustration does is lead us back down the road to bad health- mental and physical. Relax! Enjoy your new health! Have some fun! Whatever you do- DON'T measure your BMI anymore- ever! There is no way a person as tall as you in a size 4 is fat is any way. So, stop it before one of us average size girls ( not particularly fat but lot's fluffier than you-LOL) hunts you up to smack you a good one- LOL. I have lost 200 pounds. I am now the size of the average American woman- I just don't care what my BMI is. I am healthy, happy, and enjoying my life- that is ALL that matters. Relax, girl!!!!

average and loving it since 2001
no prob- I finally had to quit my support group for the same reason. I was actually gaining weight back from the stress of it all. I just went- NO!!! I am NOT getting back on that merry-go-round. I lost the 20 odd pounds I had regained just by minding my own business, stayed the same for about 4 years (there's a clue- yes? :-) ), and now am trying to lose a little more because I want to have some plastics done and I want to be closer to my original goal to make sure my skin is as loose as possible for the procedures. Otherwise- I probably wouldn't be back here on this site, either. It's very helpful, don't get me wrong- but obsession takes many forms and as I read, I recognize so much of it, that I get sort of depressed. Especially with the ones who just won't face reality and do what they need to do to get healthy. You know the ones- they post a problem, receive advice, then post a ton (sorry) of reasons why they can't take the advise. It is great to hear from someone like yourself with a clue-
I wish you very good luck. From my armchair point of view and your little pic- it looks like you are healthy and beautiful- enjoy it. :-)
