Oh what a lazy vacation this has started out to be. Shopping and going out to lunch are going to keep my calories up and my activity level up too. I did spend several hours (well past my bedtime) tracking genealogy on the internet last night. I have two siblings of my great grandmother whose children, I have not found...I'm working on it. With some success last night..I'm finding their husband's families in any case.  I also went out on a limb this day and ate nearly a whole chili cheese burger from Tom's...Mmm. Hubby has been bragging about them and I figured WTH...Here's what I came up with Breakfast: Malto Meal, soy protein, soy milk, coffee Snack: cheese stick with salami wrapped around it Lunch: hamburger 1/4 lb (probably bigger than that) 1 slice of cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup of chili sauce (meat and chili, no beans) [700 cal, 36 fat, 50 carbs?, 39 protein] Snack: 1/4 cup roasted green peas,  Early dinner: 4 oz left over ham, 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, 1/4 cup gravy, 1/4 cup yam.  later: 1 cup salad greens, 1/4 cup cottage cheese and 1 serving rasp pom dressing Late night snack (about 10 pm); 2 SF Fudge Shortbread cookies Totals: Calories: 2179 Fat: 86 Carbs; 222 Protein: 139 I'm seriously questioning the totals for that cheese burger but since I didn't eat all the bun, just mostly the burger patty, chili and the cheese (what I could scrape off the bun anyway) I'll stay with those totals.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I give up on keeping the carbs down...You can't do it if you add fiber...(and a skinnycow, sugar free or not! LOL)  Seriously...I watch my sugar intake, but complex carbs really do add up...And you know me...I eat everything! LOL Been working on the fat and been really decent there,,,and the protein been keeping that up...and my calories just won't stay up...unless I add more of the stuff I am trying to knck down. It's sooooo hard to keep it balanced. I had NO IDEA!  Must be PMSing...because I want to eat everything!  My appetite dang near made me insane last night snacking. I worked my darnest not to lose control but I still had three snacks after dinner (I hate eating too early) This is what happens! Plus I fell asleep on the couch after dinner and woke up starving!!!!!!! LOL I even went to bed hungry.  Must be TOM S:1oz protein powder, 1/2C Soymilk, 1oz Coconut Flour  <---gritty, didn't like texture but tasted good B: 2 boiled egs L:1/2 C 2 % Fage Yogurt and 1C strawberries, 1/2C fiber one      SF raspberry syrup and 2 splenda packs 1/2tsp coconut oil w/multi vits D: 4oz ground turkey fajita with cheese, veggies      w/2T yogurt, in a low carb wheat wrap S: 1/2 Grapefruit   S: Mixed green salad w/fresh sugar snap peas and a boiled egg     Salad Spritzer  & 3 cherry tomatoes S: SF Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich  <-----F:2  Car:28  P:4  Fib:4 Cals: 140  lactose sug:4 Fat: 46   Carbs: 156   Protein: 100.5   Fiber: 40     Calories:1309

Hello Carla :) I had thought I already posted this, this morning but I didnt get my usual reply email so I came to see and low and behold.. I havent posted it yet, hence no reply. Sooo all things considered you are forgiven ;) But dont let this happen again :P I had a good day. The nephew was with me for the weekend and we took him home last night so he could get back at school today :) I am officially underweight. For the first time in my life I have so little body fat that I get weak when I havent eaten enough. My limbs get shakey and woobly and I feel like I will faint. I keep checking my blood sugar thinking Im low. My sugar, blood pressure, fluids and meds are all fine. Im just weak from lack of food. Most days Im quite sedentary so I dont experience too much of this but on days when Im busy it can be debilitating. I have to keep food with me at all times and I thought I was over that phase. Now of course its for a different reason. When I am walking/shopping for an hour I am falling down/falling asleep by the end of it. On the one hand its a major accomplishment for a former fatty to say I have almost no fat!! Then on the other its a little scarey. I either have to eat more on my active days or do less LOL... hmmm tough decision :P Anywho thats my ramblings for today.. Here's my eats :) Monday Eats:

Breakfast: 2 latte (180 cals, 18 protien)

Lunch: meatloaf, bar (430 cals, 5 fiber, 26 protein)

Supper: Steak n mushrooms n onions yogurt & veggies (350 cals, 8 fiber, 30 protein)

Dinner: chili with cheese (300 cals, 5 fiber, 30 protein)

Snack: cashews, bites, ice cream (490 cals, 5 fiber, 14 protein)

Totals: 1750 cals, 23 fiber, 118 protein Have a Great night!! HUGS PK

So how tall are you PK.  I know my bmi is below the norm and I dont get that way.  are you taking your vitamins like a good kitty cat.  I know you exercise much more than I do so that could be the big difference and we are all different.   You are lower on your cals than usual but you did great on protein. I would say go to the doctor but I know if its anything like me he will just yell at you.  Darn if they yell at you for being fat than they yell at you for being to thin.  go figure. Take it easy.  get the bloodwork checked and make sure you get the carbs in.  I know I cant believe I said that but I know if you are getting weak kneed you may need to up the carb especially if you are working out. Just my humble opinion here. Take care of yourself Carla

I am 5'7 and 144, BMI is 22.6 BUT I have a LOT of excess skin and no fat :(( Like I am hollowing out in weird places. If Im standing straight I look "normal" because the hanging skin is filling in the crevices to fool the eye. If I move one way or another everything starts becoming more visible, everything being every bone, vein and tendon on my body.  I take A LOT of vitamins everyday and my blood work is good (so far) I take: 2 - 3 UpcalD 2 - 3 centrum silver multi vitamins 3 iron ferrous gluconate 1 vitamin C 2 B12 -2500 sublinguals 2 B1 100  2 Bcomplex 100 I also try to squeeze in a fortified protein/vitamin bar everyday to add to the list I dont work out Carla, the doc said I shouldnt until I either can eat more or after plastics. Anything that produces more weight loss right now is simply my body canibalizing itself and not healthy. I am signing up for a body fat test when I come back from mexico in April. I know Im well hydrated, I get in a minimum of 128 ounces water a day plus another 16 - 24 ounces of milk.  I dont know many people who are having this issue so I dont know why I get to be "special" but at least I have the ability to baby it where someone else would simply have to work themselves into the hospital before being able to take action... Thank you sweety :) HUGS PK

If you havent noticed my body fat is way low at 18 counting my excess skin which has no fat on it either.  I know how you feel.  I dont have TOM like others, I have no butt or breast.  It is sad.  There is not one part of me that doesnt show a bone, vein or tendon.  You cant even see my excess skin cause it is so thin and compressed to my body.  so I guess I have the same problem you have in that area. You are two inches taller than me so I can see how you are getting those numbers..  Just do the best you can do and eat eat eat.  You are doing great..  Carla

Thank you Carla :) Yes you do look very small and trim! (I wont use the "s" word but I can see people using it a lot with you :P) The way I carried my weight made for VERY thick stretched skin in my back and tummy. This skin has done very little snapping back because it was simply stretched beyond healing. I still have breasts though they are pretty baggy :P I have zero hips and bum from genes. The women in my family have tiny legs with huge tummies and breasts (apples unite!) so I cant use that as any type of guage :P I am still having my flow! This is a big bonus since I have pcos and I have already gone through the no flow scares enough in the past. I find BMI a bit ridiculous sometimes. For me to be medically "underweight" I would have to weigh 110 pounds. I highly doubt that even if all of my excess skin was removed I could weigh 110 pounds before dying :P The biggest fear for me is I havent lost any (I mean ANY) inches in the last 10 pounds I have lost.  I am hoping that surgery snips 15 pounds off of me and then I only have to eat enough to maintain a 130 pound body, which might be easier than where I am right now. I worry about how much muscle I am losing, I know Im losing it, but I eat mega protein and Im still wasting. I try not to think about it too much though. All in all Im eating more than most post ops 3+ years out already. I am doing everything I can do to maintain my health and if I lose some along the way Im still 1000 times healthier than I was before surgery. Meh... Im just having a babbling crybaby kind of day :P Damned hormones :P I know Im losing more weight right now because my scale should be up to reflect the bloating I have and its not... If it gets to 140 without surgery Im throwing the scale away. Its not helping me to know the number. snugs PK
