2 years out yesterday,
Yesterday was my 2 year anneversary. I celebrated easter with my family, ate to much candy and feel like crap today. Oh well its monday and will get back on track. Im up 15 pounds from my lowest but its better than the 100 pounds I was overweight 2 years ago. So Im still ahead of the game. WLS has been a blessing for me and I dont ever regret it. I have the day off and am going to the mall shopping and get my hair highlighted, ITS A GREAT DAY. God bless all of you at OH for all your support over the last 2 years. Debra
Happy two years!
I'm starting to believe 100 % that 10-15-20 lbs weight gain is just a normal thing for grads ...I have fought it tooth and nail...but couldn't beat it either. I maintain 7-8 lbs over my lowest weight two years ago (4 years since surgery) I just figured it was a "settling in" weight and expected some fluccuation. (At least in myself)
I avoided the candy this season, especially after my halloween-Christmas candy fest! Not ever again will I go through that. It's good that you forgive yourself and I think doing things in moderation without forming habits...You're good to go! As long as you are happy and feel good...that is all that matters...and numbers really truly do not mean a thing compared to what you feel inside.
Hugs,
Anita
Hi Anita,
I think you're right. I'm about 7 pounds above my lowest weight and it just won't come off. At first I was really bummed, but the truth is, I look good at this weight. My face actually looked kind of drawn at my lowest weight. I'm healthy and I think my body just found where it is supposed to be. I go up and down 4-5 pounds but always around this weight. So, I guess I'll never be tv skinny, but I've decided normal person slim is probably better anyway. I enjoy food and wine too much to give it all up for a number!
To life!
OMG, YOU look amazing. Love your pics. I'm 44 too, and honey, you have great skin. I lost 100 pounds and am all muscle now, but I look like a Sharpe compared to you. I sneeze and I get a stretch mark! At least that was my story as I was gaining 70 lbs with each pregnancy. But no plastics for me either. I've read too many horror stories and as long as I lift weights, my sharpeosity is under control. Again, you look wonderful! Congratulations!
