Good things come to those who wait...

  I am over 2 years out and have continued to lose a little here and there. I'm down another 3 pounds since January, maybe 4, the last one comes and goes!  I lost 17 after PS, which only took off about 3 pounds of fat and skin and added on the weight of saline implants.  And another 5 ( 6?) total this year so far. I'm sticking to the protein first, but I eat pretty much everything, just really small portions. Food tastes great, and I like what I eat. But I think my mind has adjusted to thinking about other things besides when can I eat again! That used to be my focus, along with sitting home alone so I could eat and nobody would know just how much I put away. Thankfully, those days are over, and I get out and about often. Life is good. So staying with the program seems to be easier the longer I do it.

Sally,  Looks like you have "got it!"  Your head has rapped around this whole thing.  That is wonderful.  So happy it is going great for you.  Stick around and be an encouragement:)

I had LAP RNY in May, 2006. So I'm about the same time as a post op. From listening to numerous support groups I attend, most post ops stay within about a 5 pound weight range.  My weight range stays between 200 and 204, and I normally stay at 203-204. If I see the scale move past that, I pay special attention to my actions the next day, making sure the exercise and foods are within protocol. My support group leader also stays within that type of range, and she had open RNY some 9 years ago.
