I take cymbalta and it works wonderful!! I rarely take my ativan for the anixety. My other thought is I wonder how you were absorbing your Lexapro - I know I process mine quickly enought that we have gone to splitting the dose into twice a day - so i take 30 mg in the am and 30 mg in the late afternoon - keeps me quite balanced

Thats a really good thought.... break it up to twice a day. What a frustrating deal this is when your meds get thrown off.... makes me invest too much time in feeling bad. Hugs!

I agree it is no fun to feel bad! but I think once you experiment and find what works for you then all is good. I personally couldn't take the wellbutrin - it very well may be that its messing with your sense of normalcy!

Well this is the second day without it and Im praying it leaves my system! ARGH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how everyone is different - I was on Paxil before my surgery and that made me blah. I weened myself off it & started Wellbutrin; stopped it for a while after my surgery for about two months & went back and now I'm on it and I feel fine.

I have suffered from depression/anxiety most of my adult life. The combination that seems to work best for me is Prozac and Buspar. My doctor told me they work synergistically when given together.

I used Wellbutrin (Lexapro) to stop smoking and about blew a gasket on the stuff. I actually quit taking it after 1 week, but also quit smoking. I would rather have the joneses from the nicotine withdrawal than that creepy bugs crawling up your spine hyper feeling of the Wellbutrin. I hated the stuff. Hope you find something that works. It can be SOOO hard.

Kathy my daughter had the same reaction from the wellbutin. They put her on it because she wanted to stop her occasionally smoking, thecymbalta then later lexapro made her gain about 20 lbs and she is a stringbean anyway but now she is fighting to loose that weight. She is now just using Omegas and some amino acid its balancing her out...I just don't have the nerve to ask her is she went back to smoking, may set her off....if you know what I mean. She could be a real firecracker when I ask a question so I tend to just listen.

Current weight:120 and still 5'4
