new to this board - I'm over a year out - so, I guess I'm a WLS grad? - although I don't feel all that knowledgeable Ok - Experienced Bandsters - I need your advice: I just had a  bad PB - ate too much of the wrong thing - it all came back up I assume I'm swollen (I don't PB that often so not real sure)  -  How long does it take swelling to go down - anything I can do to speed up the swelling going away?  just liquids?  anything else?? I'm scheduled for a fill tomorrow late afternoon - do you think it will still be ok to get it? Do I need to tell the doc - and if so, what if he decides not to do fill - which I desperately need (no loss in several months) Please respond  - I'm a little scared.

It's what they call a "productive burp" - basically throwing up food you just ate that's not digested yet and still in stomach pouch....it's not from the lower stomach mixed w/bile etc (a true vomit) - I know this is gross...but the truth...

As a wife of a bandster and having seen him experience this......you should definitely talk to your surgeon before a fill.......surely you have some inflammation from the PB that needs to be addressed.  It may be a matter of just liquids for several days; however, you definitely don't want the fill to cause you problems. Good luck!

This board is for ALL Grads, there are just more RNYers than those with other surgeries.  I would also like to recommend a new Beta board here on OH for LapBand Grads (1+ year out) that just opened......you have to be approved by the moderators to participate; my hubby is a part of that board but only lurks doesn't post to it.

The board is intended for those further out that have different needs, concerns, etc.
