Celebrex

Does anyone know if we can take Celebrex after having WLS? I plan on calling the doctor tomorrow am but I was prescribed this medication for my painful menstrual cylces? Thanks

Celebrex is what my surgeon prefers us to take if we need something for inflamation. He does not want us taking ibuprofen at all. I keep a current perscription of it on hands at all times because I tend to overdue it exercising at times and strain muscles and need to take something. It really does help. Diona

I take 400 mg everyday for arthris

My WLS surgeon put me on celebrex 7 weeks prior to my surgery and I am still taking it.  He does hope I can eventually come off it (or maybe use it as needed ???), but currently I am taking 1 200mg a day and I am 9 months out. Eileen
