ok curious...how long do you usually stay full???...my pouch seems to empty fairly quickly....do you thinks its due to the type of food im eating??? or could something be stretched??

I would doubt that you stretched your pouch. Could be the food types~are you finding this after eating "slider foods" like yogurt?? what able after eating dense protein like chicken breast?? Also, are you drinking with meals or still following the 30/30 rule??

I agree with Tracy. It most likly could be the types of foods you are eating, yogurt, cottage cheese type consistancyfoods slide right through. To stay full longer eating dense protiens first like chicken, lean beef, pork ect work the best. Also not drinking with meals or for at least 30 minutes after.

I stay full 4 hrs when I have a protein drink, with fish about 5 hrs. If I eat carbs like yesterday and today couple oz (2 or 3) of omega enriched pasta...I am looking for something to snack on very soon like 2 hrs tops. I don't eat meat so can't help there. So I have narrowed it down to when I have high protein I am not hungry for at least 4 hr...

Current weight:120 and still 5'4

Someone suggested reading The Beck Diet Solution recently on here.  After reading the first 30 pages, my whole outlook on "full" and "hungry" has changed.  Once I finally understood some of her key points, I've really been able to make some changes.  I went from struggling to get through the day at under 1500 calories, to getting 1200-1300 with no effort, panicking, starvation, dramatic thoughts about why I'm still hungry, etc.

I thought it was you, Melissa, lol.  THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I also ordered Mindless Eating, but couldn't get past the first chapter because all he was talking about were "his" studies, what "he'd" done.....toot toot my horn, lol.  If a book doesn't capture me in the first chapter is SOOOO hard for me to continue.  But the Beck Diet Solution is really the simplest theory, but it works.  I've always been fascinated by what our brains and using cognitive therapy can achieve.  Frame of mind can make or break any diet.  It's been amazingly helpful.  Thanks again!!!

I'm hungry every three hours...I drink a TON of water in between meals which helps me curb the urge to graze. If I just need a snack or can't get passed an unscheduled meal...I eat raw veggies or a fruit....or something with little calories but some bulky fiber.  That helps me on those days I just want to munch. The more sugar/bad carbs I eat, The more and more I crave them and get hunger pangs more frequently over time. I am constantly having to remind myself of this fact! Your baby is sooooooooooooo derned cute! I could just suck on her all day long!  LOL So cute!  Pretty mommy too! Anita

I eat every 2-1/2 to 3 hours all through the day. I just don't eat much at a time, so don't end up with too many calories, but I get hungry PDQ. I can usually tell a difference when I eat the right things (protein, fiber, nutritious stuff) as opposed to crackers and chips. They do absolutely nothing to fill me up and make me hungry, that's all. Soup and yogurt doesn't hold me as long. Chicken and other dense meats keep me longer. But then there's some days ... nothing will fill me up. When I do have spells when I can't seem to stay full long enough, and I'm eating too much, and the scale is creeping up, I try to really focus on fiber and protein and it helps a lot.
